Even the hated fashions of old reappear
I was watching the Today show this morning and I had to take a double take. There was a model there wearing gaucho pants with boots. I have to admit I am old to remember when this look first appeared back in the 70's. Personally I liked the style and had one such outfit complete with matching vest. The style didn't last long and in years since it has been panned as one of the fashion disasters of the era. Surprised me when I saw it. I guess even the fashion disasters come back in the name of retro fashions.
Remember Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did only she did it backwards and in high heels!

Re: Even the hated fashions of old reappear
Man (and woman) has been doomed to repeat history ever since there was history. The hope is each time we get it a little more right. So with the fashions, when they come back they are supposed to be using better materials. The polyester of today is not the one of old. We can only hope the fashion is better....

As they say "Everything that was old s now new again."
I have seen pictures of my Mother from back in her younger days and think to myself "I would never wear that". Then I realize it was the style of the time and yes I would have worn it!
