On a mission

Post by Laycee »

to find I dress I used to love or one similar. I had it in the mid 80's. Best I can describe it is a cotton khaki short sleeve that buttoned top front. Any suggestions as to where I might search would be greatly appreciated :)

Hit the stores as the retro fashions are often in. Have you tried second hand stores. Second hand stores you need to keep trying as their stuff is always changing even more than regular stores. You can try ebay or other online stores.

Good luck on your mission.

Long skirt? Short skirt? Straight? "A" line? Military style? Safari style? All button down or just shirt dress type? Size range?

Laycee,
It sounds like a shirt dress. They exist in today's fashions but not in the numbers like a fit and flare or a sheath does. Most shirt dresses are belted so does this sound like what you're looking for?

Shirt dress....that's what I had thought it was. The one i loved wasn't belted but I could certainly go belted. I'm thinking around knee length.

And Donna, I am doing just that! :)

I finally bought a dress I like. It is not what I originally set out to buy, but I think it's cute, versatile and oh, it's cute! Pictures in gallery.

Update to my previous post. The pictures I posted did not conform to the rules (they really didn't) so they were rightfully removed.
