what is the best bra type to wear with strappy dresses?

Post by Shelby »

I have a few strappy dresses and tops with exposed shoulders. I hate it when my bra straps show and was wondering what you ladies wear. My wife let me try her strapless bra and it just kept falling down; very annoying.
I wear breast forms so I need to consider that. Any suggestions?

Part of the problem with strapless bras for us cders is we do not have boobs to help hold up the bra. You can find a bra with straps that match your strappy dresses and then sew the straps together to look like one. Another option is invest in a good strapless longline bra. And lastly I have heard that fashion tape (two sided tape) is a girls best friend.

Enjoy

Hi,

I,m just going to laugh to myself here, was said it seem,s one needs breasts to hold the bra,s up, lol,s I thought is was other way bra,s needed to hold ones breasts up. quess I for get what its like to wear a bra, not done so in 6 years and don't like them or like wearing them , I,m just one of those females who don't need them and even for dancing with guys the halter dress.s work well for my self as well.

Some of our female dancer,s have straps showing on low cut dress,s none of us care .

If it was very importaint and the dress has a strap two of then sew 4 clips on the dress strapping and have a reciver clip for the bra.s 4 of of cause clip to the right height at the back two then on with the dress and clip the front two on, or just use 4 safety pin,s will do some thing , I do this with other blouse,s so allways have a few handy, if your a sewer as we say just pin it,

I've tried taking the straps off some of the body shapers I've got and still had the problem with slippage. So I'm just wondering if CDs need something extra-tight - like a lace-up corset - to really do the job.

Another solution is they make clear plastic straps for bras. I personally do not like them but see GG's wearing them.

Just as a note, if you go to formal wear or other events where gals are in strapless bras, you will see at least a few gals pulling up their bras and tops/dresses all night. So GG's struggle also with keeping the girls up and covered. Some could just be finding the correct bra for your body. Maybe go and get fitted for a strapless bra.

Strapless bras have come a long way in the years I have been wearing them still they sometimes need a good yank! One thing to note here is there is a tremendous difference between breasts and breastforms. Not that I'm that familiar with forms anymore IMO one should consider a long line strapless bra or a strapless all in one preferably with boning to minimize slippage. Not that it might not need some "adjustment" over the evening it should help and better keep the "girls" up where they belong.

Amen to that girlfriend! It hasn't been that long since I struggled with forms and strapless bras. Needed a strapless bra for an event last night and after reading reviews online I ordered one from the b.tempted line from Wacoal. It was a bit different as it was side hook but easy to get into and quite comfortable. All good but the proof is how does it start up?

I had it on probably 9 hours from going to dinner, the event which included some dancing, and an after party with more dancing. Not once did I have to make any adjustments which I saw most other women do who were obviously wearing similar undergarments. I am planning on ordering a couple more in other colors and writing a review for it at the site I ordered it from.

As Diana said there is a huge difference between breasts and forms and I am just a B cup so keep that in mind. Still it may be worth looking into this bra.

After trying several strapless bras, both long line and regular I was talking with a GG friend and she suggested a strapless body suit. Tried several and they do work better. I have one from Miraclesuit that is my favorite. Stays up in place, keeps things hidden if you get my drift  , controls the tummy and waist, and even gives my tush a lift! It is not inexpensive but IMO worth every penny. For the record I am a 38C with my forms.

That is the latest version. Haven't tried one of that particular model but I would expect it to be just as good or better.

Okay, crazy question; do you have to take this thing off in order to use the bathroom or does the crotch have snaps or some other closure?

Strapless bra types depend on how big your boobies are. I haven't worn spaghetti strap dresses since a Bridesmaid at friends weddings. More products are available now days, Back then I wore a full length strapless bra and stuck to slow dances. My Terri would like to try a thin strap dress, but he has trouble shaving all the shoulder and arms that is exposed.

Shelby it has a hook and eye closure in the crotch similar to that found on a bra for when nature calls. It does take some to get used to but as I wear all in one's a lot of the time I am somewhat used to them.
