assistance accessory shopping

Post by Myranda »

Well so far, judging by everyone's tips and comments in my last post I'd say I'm doing alright in the clothing department however now I need help with accessories like jewelry. Clothes are easy enough to guess with jewelry just seems way hard. I don't look trashy or tacky soo what do you ladies think might be a good style to start at ??

Going to try working on making my hands less masculine this weekend the main issue is they get veiny looking when they are at my side and it's too warm for gloves now. I'm going to trim hand hair, pretty up my fingers and nails and perhaps even nail polish :)

No red polish, which will drawn unwanted attention to the hands.

Can't go wrong with simple gold or silver jewelry.

Bangle/bracelets may be hard to find in a large enough size, but Pandora beaded bracelets have a larger size. Also, as one of the gals here uses, ankle bracelets fit larger size wrists.

If u have big hands, avenue and lane bryant carry larger bangles and bracelets. I forget which is solid and which is chain-like, but the chain-like bracelets/bangles are the easiest for fit. I'm not necessarily a metals girl, but if I do get metal, it tends to be painted. Cheap metal is good for a year-- maybe. Good metal costs but then lasts. I go cheap and replace it with my mood then.

If you have a charming charlie; visit. I can match anything I wear with inexpensive pieces from there. Costume jewelry is not a bad thing -- only when you overdose at one time. Almost forgot. I get findings so I can buy any dangling earring and i take them off the posts and put them on screw/clips. I don't have adaptors, I literally replace the posts.

It's only hard if you think you have to learn some rules and follow them.
So jewelry (like cute clothes) is all about wearing what you like and what suits your mood at the time. You don't have to wear jewelry at all, if you don't see something you like and just have to have.
But if you want something and don't know what to get, then you can't go wrong with some simple diamond studs and a thin gold or silver chain necklace. In the same way, a simple, classy bracelet or watch can dress up any outfit. So I would start with the timeless, elegant basic pieces that are always useful.

Oh, those big strong, vein ribbed, masculine hands I adore are hard to look feminine. Some wear tiny rings to not draw much attention, and some gals wear lots of flashy rings and bangles to over compensate.

It doesn't matter much what you wear as long as it's not too flashy. Keep your nails clean and trimmed (as an avid gardener, that's a hard task for this gal) subdued colors or clear polish. Focus on other areas of your female presentation, your outfit and face, and few will notice your hands.

Gold or silver work with just about everything thing. If you can, get your ears pierced, so many more choices out there.
