Princess, this is the same thing on my mind at the moment as well. I hate my hairy arms but don't know what to do either! Maybe pluck them all out lol

Hi Princess Anasia & Sophie,

Well, if you "bleach" the arm hair, it will only make it shiny and blond, and if you shave it, it grows back "stubby" very quickly

I have naturally blond arm hair, but, it does still bother me ***huh*** especially in the summertime. I prefer my arms to be bare. So, ever since I worked in a beauty salon (many years ago), I have waxed my arms (in addition to other areas). Waxing gets all of the hair, coarse and fine and everything in between \:D/ and the wax that I prefer is reusable =D>

Poetic Wax, by Bliss

Do-it-yourself and master your technique at home with this aromatherapy, pine resin wax gentle enough for even sensitive skins and easy enough for even amateurs to become pro. Love, how long does that last and does it hurt? lol

If I ever waxed my arms I'd have to wear cover my arms all the time... so sadly I think it's just a dream for me :(

Wax? owie that doesn't sound like it would feel very good, i have tried a small area plucking and it hurt soo bad, i can only imagine how bad wax would feel pulling alot at one time.

Well, since the hair is pulled out by the root, how fast/slow the hair re-grows varies from about 4-8 weeks. I usually wax myself every month in the spring/summer, less often in the fall/winter.

Well, the coarser the hair, the more it hurts to remove it.....the finer the hair the less it hurts. But, I've been waxing for so long now, that it doesn't really "hurt", and I feel the results are well worth it (for me)

* Tip: After applying the wax to a small section of the skin (in the same direction of hair growth), you then hold the skin (around that section) taught with one hand while the other hand takes a firm hold on the wax strip, and with one fast movement pulls off the strip against the hair growth.

I think that waxing is great, but might I suggest that you try it out on a small area first to see how your skin reacts? I found that my skin reacts very negatively!!

Hi Chantelle ,

Yes, I agree! =D>

A "patch test" should be done when trying any kind of new product on your skin.

P.S. Chantelle, if I may ask, which type (hot or cold method) of waxing did you try, and also, which brand was it? (just curious, as I myself have had developed {over time} a reaction to "Gi Gi Honey Wax" !!arg!! and I now use "Poetic wax", by Bliss...with great results and no negative reactions) \:D/

Hi Love!!!! :)
May I ask where you obtain the "Poetic wax" by Bliss?

I kind of like the sound of it, as I feel there is a punny mind behind the creativity for the product name? As in to Blissfully Wax Poetic? Well anyway, not funny, but its been one of those days where distraction is needed!! :)

Thanks.

Hi Carolynn,

I have purchased the "Poetic" waxing kit by Bliss, from QVC (shopping channel) in the past, but I checked today and they don't show that they even carry it now :( I have seen it in "Sephora" at a local mall, and also on their website (listed below)

If you do try the wax, please let me know how you liked it
