I picked up a new Max Factor mascara, or actually a new brush with the mascara, at Ulta.
It can be seen at:

Works real well, for preventing clogs of mascara on the lashes. Now, if they put it in a 'curling' mascara, they'll really have something.

I'm interested in the proper way to clean off a mascara wand of the clumps that form and build up. Any ideas or proven ways of cleaning them?

Sometimes, just wiping it on a tissue will work, or an old rag. Try to avoind picking up any lint.

Capturing lint on the wand has been my problem. I thought there was a better way, like using a high soray of warm water over the sink.

Leilah -
To clean the mascara brush, moisten a cotton ball with Baby Oil (aka Mineral Oil) and wipe the brush. The baby oil will automatically loosen the mascara allowing the brush to become 'clump-free', and the cotton ball usually stays intact, leaving no lint behind.
