Although I have often driven into Chicago to eat, chat, drink, play pool, and dance with many of my transgendered friends, tomorrow will be a little different.
I plan to park my car and take the South Shore train to Millennium Station in downtown Chicago to meet three or four other girls. (I've taken the train before but never as Carolyn.)
We will meet in Pioneer Court at the statue of Marilyn Monroe around 11:00 A. M. This twenty-six foot tall statue was just unveiled this summer. She is in the pose where her skirt is flying up from the movie "Seven Year Itch". After taking some pictures we plan to walk through Millennium Park, look at the "Bean", and find a nice restaurant to have lunch. Then after lunch we will do some shopping along Michigan Ave. (The Magnificent Mile)
We will be doing a lot of walking so I will be leaving my heels at home in favor of some more comfortable shoes. To blend in I will be wearing a white cami with an orange button up blouse, unbuttoned of course. (the temperature is supposed to be about 85 degrees F) Black capri's with black one inch sandals finish off my outfit.
What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon! Isn't it great to be retired?
Off to the windy city
