went dress shopping

Post by CassandraB »

I went dress shopping on my own, wanted to surprise my wife.I went dressed and was surprised by the owner was very kind to me.Told me that she does have crossdressers come in to shop, she has no problems with this.I looked through seeing a little black dress and a black strapless dress above the knees I fell in love with.Went in the dressing room and trying them on and came out wearing them. The owner said I looked good in them.I did take them off, putting back on the clothes on I wore walking in and paid for them.I showed them to my wife wearing each one when I got home and she giggled saying I looked great in them.

CassandraB,

That sounds like great fun and the best part is your wife liked it and had fun with it. Yay for both of you.

Cassandra,
it's great that you found a couple dresses that you and your wife like so much. Dress shopping is so much fun. I knew a guy once who said that for a guy, buying tires for his truck is as exciting as buying a dress is for a woman. I don't know about the tires though, I would rather buy a new dress :)

I am glad you had fun shopping. I too would have to agree with Ralitsa about buying the tires. I too would rather buy a dress!!

Hugs,

Erica

So many cute dresses, and so few opportunities to wear them :?

I was getting a few supplies yesterday for my trek to South Africa (where I am going today) and one of the things I decided I needed was a Safari dress. I have a few of them in Texas, and they are really cute and suit me well. They make one think they should be in a Humphrey Bogart film about lion hunting or something, so it should be perfect for wearing in ZA.
Unfortunately I did not find one that I liked that fit well, so I'm not happy about that. But I did see dozens of really cute sun dresses and day dresses that I really liked. I didn't get any though, because I'm not really going to have any chance to wear them in the next month. I already have 3 or 4 that I'm taking on my trip, along with a few skirts, so I don't have room for any more either.
The worst part about travelling is having to wear the same couple outfits for a month at a time.

Congrads on a great adventure. I love going out shopping en fem. I am pretty much fully time fem on weekends now. I got the giggles the other weekend when my wife stopped and showed me a top and said, "Go try this on, I'm sure it will look good on you".

Ralitsa, South Africa's president at one time denied the Aids epidemic as a western conspiracy. What seems to be the prevailing attitude about cross dressing?

That all depends on what size tires, and how exotic the tread that we're buying for the truck here is.

Plain ol' boring all seasons? Meh... now 44" Super Swampers, then we'll talk...

I am a southern girl, with a little bit of hillbilly in me...

JoAnn, you are so lucky that your wife is so helpful about shopping with you. I guess we are all jealous of you

The prevailing attitude in ZA? I don't know. I had absolutely no trouble there, I think the Afrikaans people (former Netherlanders if I have my history right) would probably frown upon it, being the good christians and Nazi's (I say that affectionately) that they are. But aside from one question "you dress a bit differently, don't you?" none of them ever said anything to me about it. The natives, or african people, I find are very accomodating. At the risk of making a racist observation, it seems to me that black people, and the women in particular, are very accepting, even encouraging and enthusiastic about it. I don't think it's my imagination, but I don't have any explanation for it, although I guess maybe it's somehow related to being in the lowest social class (black woman) and relating to someone who purposely lowers their social rank by crossdressing. Or am I reading too much into it?
Anyway, ZA is no problem, and the guys at the Guest House (see my post in the storytelling section) are very friendly and accomodating.

I have found that Asian women are also very accommodating. When I started going to my Nail salon en fem, all the Techs accepted me on the spot.
