Going for a makeover

Post by S. Lisa Smith »

On Wednesday I am going to a Merle Norman's in Newport News Virginia. While I have been to this one a few years ago, it has changed hands. I called, got a wonderful woman on the line and made an appointment. I expect they think I am going to show up dressed and I will. I love the business look and will be dressed in my green suit with green high heels. I have a beautiful white ruffled blouse that I am going to wear. I look like a conservative lady banker. I'm sure they won't be expecting that look!

I have used a Mary Kay rep, but she moved away. Went to a Sephora, that was a blast! Very expensive, but when they were done I looked wonderful! The makeover was free but I bought some of the cosmetics and ended up spending $200. I couldn't believe I had spent that much, but it was an experence well worth the cost.

I agree with Cindy!! That's great!!

I look forward to hearing how it went.

I love the sound of your outfit!!! You're mostly likely correct. They may not expect you to dress that way. :)

I'm back from Merle Norman and I'm really happy with the results! The manager treated me just like any other woman and really did a great job. We worked out some new colors for me and we went through my makeup collect and got rid of the obviously unsuitable stuff. I learned a whole lot (and I thought I knew a bunch), had a great time and she didn't sell me stuff I didn't need. Some of the new colors she used were so close to some of the stuff I had, she said don't bother with new. I really appreciated that.

I took some pictures, but they didn't turn out very well. I guess I could post them, but I don't have a site to upload to.
