Reunions

Post by CathyD »

I have been wondering for a long time, have any of you ever gone, or considered going, to a high school or college reunion en-femme?

First, I'd have to go to high school before I can go to a reunion.

No but the high school reunion (30th) I did go to was a deeply moving experience. An entire railroad car worth of emotional baggage was unloaded and I had a wonderful time as well.

I never went any of my high school, community college, or 4 year college reunions and don't have any plans to do so in the future.

Several of my friends from both HS and college have left this veil of tears so I just don't have any interest in going.

I really loved my 30th year reunion, the only one I ever went to. It was the summer before my gal self appeared.

As far as the 40th goes--I was feeling a certain pressure within to do some entertainment at the gathering as a girl, and that might still happen. Since I now have a TG girlfriend, that will add some "interest" to the gathering, no matter how I dress. I think we'll end up going.

REUNIONS

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Hello all: I attended several high school class reunions, a multi class reunion/festival, one college reunion, and actually organized the 30th reunion for my high school class. I was a hippie sympathizer at a conservative high school, so there's a lot of irony in my having organized a reunion.
As the main organizer (although REUNION COMPANY-- now defunct-- there's been consolidation even in the reunion biz-- did the "leg work" and took care of the details) -- I enjoyed my 30th reunion, but since I was the "producer" I missed a lot of the food, which was NOT kept out too long.
I'm proud to say that a faculty member I invited turned up... (yes, my old gym teacher saw me cross dressed and there's a photo of us together!!) That particular teacher has been very supportive of high school alumni activity.
I had not cross dressed except for the occasional "cheerleader" outing by the time of my 30th high school class reunion, but thought it would be er... cute? fun? for a vintage appearing cheerleader to turn up at the reunion. So I left the hotel ball room, changed into the cheerleader outfit (one of my female class mates helped with wig and make-up; I was not doing my own make-up yet), got my set of pompons, and ran back to the ballroom (waving the poms as I ran), where "I" was introduced to the crowd. Can't remember what I did (wish it had been filmed!) but (most of ) my class-mates still talk to me!
The time has come for another reunion, and that cheerleader may make another appearance!! Even though I am ten years older, I still don't look too bad and am amazed at the degree to which I can carry off cheerleader outfits! (must be the great legs!!)
Since I am not 24x7, I would not attend a reunion just in a nice regular "femme" outfit. Not appropriate. But since the cheerleader outfit is a costume with sort of an "act" attached, it fits in the context of a reunion.
Of course since I always do like to make a statement, the one addition I do make to the outfits is to wear a peace sign button or pendant.
(I get a kick out of fusing the "cheerleader" and "hippie" expressions).
I am curious to read about other folks' reunion experiences, whether there is a CD/TG element or not.
Happy belated VALENTINE'S DAY to everyone!
Peace-- Kendra Lynn (aka "hippie cheerleader")

No i never went to my reunion dressed as a female, but its because i didnt go to my reunion! I really didnt like those people when i was in school and dont want to see them now!
Besides they have all seen me as a female anyway. I dressed on and off as a female since i was a child for the most part.
