Okay, it's another day, another outfit:
I'm wearing a green floral homemade (by my late mother probably in the 60's or 70's) summer dress with a print of pink and green flowers. It is just above my knees, short sleeved, and has a high neckline.
My shoes are black pumps with a 2 inch heel (got then a week ago Sunday at Kmart - $4.99). My stockings are National support stockings, woody beige with reinforced heels & toes.
Underneath my dress I'm wearing all black - a Vassarette full slip, Exquisite Form longline posture bra, Jaqueline Smith boned waist cincher, Crownette 212 OBG with 4 garters holding up my stockings. My panties are black satin Rene Rofe, with a little bow on the very front of the waistband and a flower applique on the front left side.
My accessories are a goldtone watch, pewter/amber elastic bracelet: on other arm red/clear elastic bracelet, silertone metal bracelet, amehyst colored necklace, gold dangly clip earrings with a textured finish, and my (first and favorite so far) bleached blonde Marilyn Monroe type wig.
I didn't do makeup or fingernail polish tonight, but my toenails are medium purple.
What are the rest of you wearing?

Nobody else is posting on this thread, but I'm not giving up yet.
Here's what I'm wearing tonight:
My wife was reorganizing things and found another lightweight homemade dress made by my late mother (probably late 50's, 60's, or early 70's) and that's what I'm wearing tonight. It's red with a white floral print. It is just above my knees, short sleeved, and has a high neckline.
My shoes are 1 1/2 inch heel gold pumps (from Old Pueblo Traders closeout site), my stockings are National support stockings in woody beige with reinforced heel & toe.
Underneath, I'm wearing a National beige full slip, a Bestform underwire bra that's white with multicolored floral print (the first one I bought for myself, from Walmart), a black Rago waist cincher with garters (holding up my stockings), and pink Hanes satin panties.
My accessories are a gold rope chain, a goldtone watch and a pewter/amber elastic bracelet.
My wig is an estetica sweet touch (short, curly) in ash blonde. No makeup or nail polish tonight.

Here is my outfit for tonight:A long sleeved 2 piece white floral dress with a gray cabbage rose print. The top has a tulip hem and pearl-look buttons, and the skirt is just below my knees and pouffed out by my new petticoat. The dress was a closeout from Blair several months ago ($15 including a string of faux pearls).
The petticoat is a Malco Modes 580 medium in white (22 inches).
My stockings are brand new gartered National support stockings with reinforced heel & toe, color is mist (close to Hanes town taupe).
My shoes are black pumps with 2 inch heels.
My jewelry is a small gold locket, large goldtone dangly clip earrings, goldtone wristwatch, a goldtone snap-close bracelet on left wrist, and a black/silver snap-close bracelet on right wrist.
Underneath I'm wearing all white - Vanity fair woman longline posture bra, Cortland foundations 6 garter pull on OBG, a Jacqueline Smith waist cincher to cover the bra-girdle gap, and Hanes Her Way high cut satin panties.
No makeup/nail polish tonight, but I'm wearing my favorite bleached blonde Marilyn wig.

What I wore yesterday
OK, I'm cheating. Not wearing this today but yesterday.
But it was my wife's idea!
Black tee shirt
Jaguar print skirt (mid thigh)
Black tights
Black mary janes
Day's activities included food shopping (made difficult by the grocery store strike going on here in LA), hair appointment, and chores around the house.
ps. My hairdresser liked the outfit!

Here's what I wore today...
For church and out to lunch afterward...
black and white print blouse, long sleeves, french cuffs
narrow white skirt, ankle length
white knee-high boots and white purse
white pantyhose (that didn't really show unless I was sitting down)
black nail polish with silver sparkles
matching black and white simulated opal earrings and pendant set
Go Currant lipstick (a deep red) by Maybelline
The skirt, blouse, and jewelry are by Ashley Stewart. Ashley Stewart is one of my favorite stores. They're a large-size women's store that has clothes that are a little more fun, often a little sexier than most plus size stores, department stores, and catalogs. At the same time, they're geared to women (mid 20s through eternally young at heart retired women), not teenagers. And their prices are generally lower than Lane Bryant stores or department stores.
For mid-afternoon matrimonial break...
NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
For a supper of Boston Cream Pie and Irish Coffee at Marie Callender's...
Black ribbed turtleneck
Denim skirt, 3" above the knee
Black ribbed tights
Black clogs
Black purse
Same earrings and cosmetics, freshly applied
I had a wonderful day! Hope you had a great day too!

Tonight, I'm sitting at the computer wearing the following outfit:
A bright red long sleeved ruffled blouse, gray and white floral knee length skirt (the bottom half of a Blair 2 piece dress) pouffed out a bit with a white petticoat, National brown beige gartered stockings with reinforced heel & toe, white pumps with a 2 inch heel.
My accessories are a short freshwater pearl necklace, a red and clear elastic bracelet, and a turquoise bracelet watch. My wig is bleached blonde.
Underneath, a white longline posture bra, white Cortland Foundations ^ garter OBG, white boned waist cincher bridging the bra/girdle gap, red satin panties.
I'm on call this weekend, so no cosmetics, but I love this outfit. Every once in a while I glance down to see the white lace peeking out the hem of my skirt.

Christina and Beauty,
Thank you both for your input!
Beauty,
The pictures are a great addition, providing variety. Winter is coming to the Northeast, so I'm not surprised your first outfit was chilly, but I bet it looked great on you. Your second one looks more suitable for the weather and I think would still look great.
Christina,
Your outfit sounds like it would look great on you - I don't have much officewear type clothing, so for me, an outfit like yours would be a nice change of pace for this late 1950s-eary 1960s church lady/housewife clothing wannabe.
Today I was on call for work, so I didn't get dressed. I spent more time than I probably should have at church trying to get my old inkjet printer working across a Windows 98 network
(no luck with networking, but their main computer has a good printer that shouldn't jam very much).
After I got home from that, I was called in to work for a couple of hours of wrestling with another kind of problem on a much bigger network. That one I solved, then off to Circuit City to replace my old inkjet printer.
A new Canon i860 gave me home printing capability again. After some setting up, it's printing great looking word processing documents at warp speed and really nice pictures at a decent speed. The call in to work paid for most of the printer.
I'll try to dress more suitably tomorrow.

Hi,
Tonight I AM dressed more suitably for this forum in the outfit my wife wore to church today.
The church outfit part - a fuchsia Blair dress, knee length (on me) with 3/4 sleeves, and ivory full slip with lace trim. I was getting a little warm, so I took off the fuchsia cardigan she wore with it.
The rest - wine colored halo suede pumps, gartered National wood beige support stockings with reinforeced heel & toe, I pouffed out the skirt a bit with my white petticoat. My accessories are a couple of small silver chains, silvertone heart shaped dangly clip earrings, a couple of silvertoned bracelets, and my wig is my favorite bleached blonde one. Underneath, a beige Bali underwire bra (my wife borrows it back once in a while), a white boned Cupid waist cincher smoothing the gap to the beige Crownette OBG. My panties are beige Vassarette satin.
I'm now posting my wearing of my wife's church outfits in this thread, because this one is getting more activity, and I feel this is certainly on-topic for this thread, because
//bleached blonde mode on
after all, I'm wearing it TODAY
//bleached blonde mode off
That felt good, I just needed to be blonde for a moment.

What I wore to church today...
My new black suede skirt. It's an Alfani I bought yesterday at Macy's. It was marked down to $50!!!!!!!
A slightly sheer, slightly ruffly black blouse
Black pantyhose
Black suede pumps (Naturalizer)
My gold butterfly-wing-veigning earrings (very unuusal, I bought them at the artist's studio in a little town on California's central coast). They kind of match the gold-colored embroidery design on the skirt.
I got compliments on the skirt and the earrings!

Rikki,
That sounds like a beautiful outfit.
Since I only wear my clothes for a few hours at a time in my own house, I go for low budget items for myself.
Tonight I'm wearing the same dress I wore when I started this thread - a 2 piece pale green knit dress with a large floral print of pink and darker green. The top is short sleeved and the skirt is pleated and knee length. I got it from the online closeout section at Old Pueblo Traders for $15.
My shoes are gold Coup D'tat pumps with 1 1/2 inch heels (also from Old Pueblo Traders closeouts - $10).
Hosiery - Hanes Silk Reflections sandalfoot gartered stockings in little color (from a Hanes outlet store).
Underneath: a lacy black bra slip from National's clearance website, about $7 or 8 (the straps stay up fine), a black Ful-ly longline posture bra (from Burlington Coat), a black boned Jaqueline Smith waist cincher (Kmart) bridging my long torso to my black Rago 21 waist cincher with garters. (an Old Pueblo Traders online special). Panties are blue Vanity Fair with lace around the waistband (from Burlington Coat).
Accessories: goldtone apple dangly clip earrings (dollar store in a mall), gold/silver twisted chain, goldtone bangle bracelet.
I was a bleached blonde yesterday, but today my wig is my short curly ash blonde one.
I describe my lingerie because it was my primary interest and purchases when I restarted dressing up at age 51. It was almost 6 months before I actually bought my own dresses/skirts/tops, making do with my wife's (and late mother's) until then.
