Hi Kathy and Lacey,
I found your posts very interesting. To answer your question Kathy about what kind of tops I wear. I assume you mean when I am in public.
Well... as I have mentiioned before, never really stop dressing. I am always wearing feminine clothes to some extent. In the summer my "in public look" is similar to yours. I wear plain crew necked women's t-shirts but in a nice color, like lavender or pink. The problem is, that to wear these colors I can't always wear a bra, because it shows under the t-shirt so I tend to wear darker colors so my bra can't be seen. However, these darker t-shirts tend to have subtle feminine traits, like v necked, or slightly scooped necked. I have a couple that are slashed necked. (I have to be careful with these because sometimes my bra straps can show because the t-shirt drops down from my shoulder a little)
I also wear t-shirts that have 3/4 length sleeves, again with a subtle feminine neckline. I also wear blouses that are "shirt-like" but are obviously a woman's blouse. They tend to have a tapered waist, 3/4 length sleeves and, of course, the buttons do up on the other side.
My sweaters are usually nice soft ones, like merino or lambs wool.
I sometimes wear crew necked or v-necked sweaters, but mostly I wear crew necked classic high buttoning cardigans. The type that you see with a classic twinset. I have some of those too but I think a sweater set is a bit too obvious in public unless I'm in San Francisco. When we go there (which is quite often) I always wear one. No-one seems to care what anyone wears there.
A look I feel comfortable to be seen anywhere is: Navy keds, jeans, a slightly scooped t-shirt in say, a dark pink, and a gray classic cardigan.
I also have small round gold studs in my ears, and I wear a woman's gold braclet watch. I also ususally wear some subtle perfume too.

P.S. I'm thinking of changing my avatar to show a picture of me instead.

Hi Richelle,
Thanks for the tips.
While I might want to try wearing something like what you described outside the house, I think it would raise some uncomfortable questions for my family to see me wearing something quite that femme looking.
Thanks for the tips.

Hi Kathy,
Hummm.......I know what you mean. Lucky for me I live nowhere near my
immediate family and my wife approves of my dressing. We don't really have any 'friends' to speak of that we would go out socializing with so really it's not a problem for me. There is my wife's sister who comes around to our house sometimes but she's also very laid back and never says anything either.
Maybe you could go out on a little trip by yourself to the mall or something?

Mall??? Here?????
What passes for a mall here is 20 miles from my house, has 2 anchor stores (one empty for the last 5 years) and a few assorted shops.
The other problem is that anywhere I go around here I'm likely to run into either someone I went to school with or someone who knows my parents or both.

Yes, girl next door rather than brazen slut, much more me.

I was wondering if some of you are like me when it comes to going out.
Since meeting and falling in love with my wife she has encouraged me to dress in clothes that are not particularly feminine for a woman, but are feminine for a man. I'm talking about the clothes that I would wear as my normal everyday non-work clothes. (for work I wear unisex clothes)
I always wear panties and a bra (even to work) but my other clothes are
women's jeans (shorts in the summer), women's t-shirts, high buttoning cardigans, worn with white tennis shoes with lavender trim or navy keds. I also have both my ears pierced and I wear a small pearl pendant and a woman's watch.
I have to tell you that I am not exactly a manly man. I am only 5ft 4in, my weight is 125 pounds, and I have women's US size 8 feet. All of my body (except for my forearms) is kept smooth and hair free. Occasionally I wear a little mascara. What I am trying to say is that both myself and my wife feel that......well.......girl's clothes just suit me and I should be wearing them! Add to this a soft and gentle (some might say wimpy nature) and that's me. I am not trying to pass and I never will without a wig and make-up, I'm just a non threatening wimpy guy in women's clothes. But hopefully not too "in your face".
I know crossdressing can be many things to many people, but I was just wondering if there was anyone else here who is like me? I do like to wear a more "complete" outfit at home most evenings. Then I wear skirts, dresses, feminine blouses, heels, a wig and inserts for my bra. My wife loves me like this too because I become even more soft and gentle in the way I think and act. My wife and I have a marrige that is built around lots of love and closeness. We are always very touchy-feely towards one another. My CDing is an extension of our love for one another, but shown in a feminine way. I don't expect everyone to understand this as it's a very personal thing between me and my wife.
Like the words of an old Whispers song - "it's a love thing".

Re: Just a non-threatening guy in girls clothes
I have found a little softer less stated look does well
especially in the day time.
Lighter lipstick less prominte makeup
Shorts sandals or Tenny s. T shirt
And a big smile sort of a " Tommy Girl " look
Perhaps a shorter wig
Just blend in Go with the flow !
