Mine seem to be holding up I usually break one by now.
Getting good at it!

I used to have really bad nails. They would crack, chip, peel, and break off. I also had ridges that ran down the nail and it was the ridge that would crack. I now have acylic nails and no longer have any of those problems. Once in a great while, I will either break or chip one of my nails, but a quick stop at the nail salon and bingo, it's all fixed.

I usually love doing machine work just because of the ''bad girl'' look that my overalls give me.
I'm an IT technician, but im getting some hands-on training for my degree in Aerospace Engineering I'll be taking on in two years.

WOW! Girl. I'm impressed. You know what else!!!!!!!!! Every once in a while I'm amazed that most of the time we really don't have an idea to whom we chat with, I mean, we don't know who they are or what they really do or did for a living. I too have a VTX 1800 "R", and love it. I do most of all my own work. I keep my nails at just that questionable length. But, they aren't as strong as I wish they were. I dream of the day when I can muster the courage to dawn my skinny jeans, heeled boots, white blouse, my girly leather vest and do my wig in a pony tail with my helmet on, girly shades and go for a nice bike ride on some of the back twisty roads. Soon, maybe.Virginia wrote:Last night, I had to do some work on my bike! Its a VTX 1800S Honda. I had to take the battery out (requires an engineering degree or shooting blind whichever) and I had to install the entire left rear turn signal assembly. Never done that before either and required a bit, hell a lot of trial and error. Anyway two hours later, all done!![]()
Point: I did NOT break a single nail!!!and that included having to reach up under the rear fender constantly with these hams I have for hands and really did not fit all that well in that tight spot!
Actually kind of scary now that I think about it!![]()

Hi Diannna,
You know you are driving my "spell check"nuts!
Point! Yes, I have had several bikes, the one before this was an Intruder, and it would fly, but this bike, my VTX is almost like ridding down the road on my living room couch. The way I describe it too, is it is the only bike I have ever owned that when stopped at a light, I can look in the rear view mirror and read the tag number of the car behind me!
SL and I have taken it for a ride. When we did stop I made sure it was some place private so I could take my helment off (full face) and if my "hair" came off too, no one would see! Well actually, my hair stayed in place pretty well, I was surprised! We got pictures too! We may do it again soon! I did wear slacks. One of our sisters said she went out on her bike in a mini but...........
I can't say I have ever seen a GG in a mini on a bike! Short-shorts yes, but not a mini!
An old Harley rider once told me that the two things that you really have to look out for on a bike are drunks (goes with out saying) and old ladies in Cadillac's. I swear I was coming home from the dealer on my Intruder, seveal years ago and damn -- a little old lady in her Caddy, looked straight at me and as if I did not exist just pulled out in front of me!!! No, I did not crash, I was able to go behind her, but I know I just did not register in her brain!!! It must be hell to get old!
Anyway hon, good to hear from you and remember, keep the shiny side up and head on a swivel!!!
Love ya,
Virginia
