I don't think I have any genuine vintage 50's lingerie, but I have picked up some items which are I think at least close approximations. I don't know the age of the slips that my wife and I share besides several that I bought new. We inherited all of my late mother's clothing but the only things I would consider really old are several dresses that she made herself.

I try to get the most enjoyment out of what I already have and what I can get within a relatively low price range.

I have a few longline bras, all front hook and all are white except for one black one. My bustier collection is 2 pretty ones with removable straps, one white satin print with removable garters, the other red satin with black lace trim. My bra drawer also includes a variety of regular bandeau bras, some underwire (my preference for holding up my rice in nylons fake boobs) and some soft cup that are hand me downs from my loving wife (I bought her her favorite style of Bali in every color).

When it comes to hosiery, I'm a garter girl - no vintage stockings, but enough Hanes sandalfoot and National RHT to last a week or two .

How do I keep my stockings up? My first good garter garment was a black 4 garter Rago waist cincher. My pull on open bottom girdles include 4 garter Crownette stretch lace stylee in black and beige and a white Cortland Foundations 6 garter model. I also have a white 4 garter Crownette garter belt, plain white Cortland Foundations front lacing corset with 6 garters (no pretty trim or satin, but it sure makes me sit up straight ) and my newest aquisition, a white 6 garter Rago open bottom body briefer.

I have a long torso, so besides the Rago model with removable garters, I have several boned waist cinchers, one Cupid from Walmart and 4 from Kmart (2 separate buy one get one half price sales). I also have 4 short waisted control panties.

Besides a couple of dozen slips (most of them my wife's, but she shares willingly) to choose from, I have 2 petticoats - one a white Malco modes 22 inch style 580 chiffon, the other a 26 inch black net petticoat I bought online from Petticoat Pond. I think that just a hint of lace peeking out from the hem of a skirt is cute and sexy.

My panty (and slip) drawer is quite full - the most of one brand Hanes/Just My Size satin French cut briefs and nylon high cut briefs that my wife bought herself from a Sears sale and didn't like the fit (they fit me fine). My collection includes various Vassarette, Vanity Fair, Rene Rofe, Lane Bryant satin panties, and some other nylon ones in a variety of colors.

Tonight, I'm wearing a Vasarette dark brown floral print satin chemise nightgown that has double spaghetti straps. My white petticoat is a little too long to go with the hemise, but I love the lace and couldn't resist pouffing it out. My Hanes sandalfoot stockings are little color. My gold pumps harmonize nicely with the colors of the floral print of the chemise.

Underneath, my white satin bustier has the straps removed tonight (poufbunny Jadeanne in 50's mode frowns on having visible bra straps) but the 4 garters are on duty. The bustier is a little too large for my skinny unpadded hips/derriere, so a pair of white control panties is helping keep things neat and a Cupid boned waist cincher is helping keep the control panties from rolling down (yes, sometimes Jadeanne likes to layer her foundation garments). Underneath all of this is a beautiful pair of red satin panties.

Well, it's now time to head for the bedroom, remove everything and put the nightgown back on.

Hi all,

I had today off, a couple of regular arthritis medical appointments and my wife is at a seminar (nearby but her expenses were paid for her if she stayed at the host college - when she packed, she took one of my tops). I'll be on my own for most of tomorrow - she will be coming back around (pizza) dinner time. We will be having company in a few weeks, so maybe Jadeanne the maid can tidy up things a bit - properly dressed for the role, of course.

I'm glad to hear we have similar tastes in femme clothing - unless we were bidding against each other, but I don't buy things at auctions.

This evening, I'm wearing a light tan dress with a blue and brown floral print that has a high scoop neckline, short sleeves, and the skirt is nicely pouffed out with my white petticoat, with the hem going to just above my knees. My sandalfoot stockings are travel buff, shoes are navy pumps, gold dangly clip earrings, light pink beads, assorted bracelets, short curly ash blonde wig.

Underneath, my petticoat liner is a lacy black Vassarette full slip. I borrowed one of my wife's bras - I found a beige softcup Just My Size laying on the bedroom floor, and to update an old saying, "If the bra fits, wear it". A black boned waist cincher turns it into a longline. I'm holding up my stockings with the 4 garters on my beige open bottom girdle. My panties are beige nylon high cut briefs.

Hi all,

My wife is still away, coming back late this PM. My on call pager is clipped to the outside of my purse. Since I'm on call until next Friday afternoon, this is a no nail polish or cosmetic week for me. The best parts of being on call are when it's over for a couple of months and the next paycheck being fatter - a little more play money . I'm probably going to change to another femme outfit before my wife gets home. She gets a laugh in the rare times when Jadeanne the maid greets her (this started after that beer commercial).

Are the colors in your chemise bright enough so you don't need a nightlight?

Once in a while my wife is with me when we go to a couple of stores that have clearance racks, and we "divide and conquer". I have also looked through clearance racks by myself and not felt out of place. I have bought lingerie, nightgowns, etc. for her throughout our almost 27 year marriage.

Today, feel like Dame Jadeanne, and I'm dressed for it. My white formal dress is fit for an older bride. The fabric is silky white with a shiny white floral pattern, high neckline, slightly puffed elbow length sleeves, and the pleated skirt is midcalf length on me and of course pouffed out with both of my petticoats. My stockings and pumps are white, and my jewelry is all pearl - clip earrings with teardrop shaped fake pearl drops, a short necklace of real pearls and matching bracelet. My wig is my favorite bleached blonde Marilyn model.

Underneath, my lingerie is black - petticoat liner is a lacy full sweep full slip, longline bra, 4 garter Rago waist cincher, and Rene Rofe satin briefs with a cute floral applique and little bow.

Hi all

This afternoon my plans changed for a couple of reasons:

• I remembered my wife gave a friend a ride to the seminar. Her husband dropped her off here for departure with my wife, so she might ride back here and call her husband to pick her up;
  
  I planned to get a large pizza for lunch and have the leftovers waiting when she got there, but decided to wait until she got home, because she might want to go out for dinner, and if not, I could get the the pizza then and it would be hot.

I wanted to move my car out of the driveway so she could pull in when she returned, so back into male mode, then while I pulled the car out to park on the street, I drove to a nearby sub shop and bought myself a sub sandwich for lunch, drove back home, and ate the sub for lunch while I watched the Yankee baseball game and took a nap.

My wife came back at the expected time. She drove her friend home first, so I wound up going for pizza then and we both enjoyed it hot. While we were eating, she told me that she wore my Blair windowpane top that she borrowed.

After dinner, we relaxed for a while, then she settled in to read and I got dressed for the internet.

Tonight, I'm wearing a look I call "death by animal print" because every item of clothing I'm wearing is animal print. My top is a Blair pullover short sleeve shell. My ruffled lined Selene skirt is midcalf length. My hosiery is sheer animal print trouser socks, shoes are animal print pumps. My silvertone clip earrings have dangling leopard heads. The rest of my jewelry is silvertone - 5 differnt length silvertone chains with the longest one having a diamond chip pendant, and 4 silvertone bracelets. My wig is the curly midlength blonde Sapphire style

Underneath, I'm wearing a leopard print bra and nylon leopard print panties. My purse is a leopard print bag. I don't have any animal print slip or shapeware yet, but I did see slips in the One Hanes Place catalog, and I saw animal print control briefs in Avenue, so maybe someday.

Tonight, it's virginal white for Christina (okay, okay, enough already with the howls from the peanut gallery! ). It's extremely hot and humid, here, and it's been raining all day, so I'm dressing light. A white nylon bra with lace-edged cups; the sheerest white, lace-trimmed baby doll (just barely covers my derrière); nude, all-sheer pantyhose; white leather slingback sandals with 3" heels; auburn, shoulder-length wig; a touch of makeup (I'm actually wearing false eyelashes rather than mascara for a change); a touch of jewelry. Nothing else. And it's more than enough!

Thanks. I think I do look okay in white--it brings out my more exotic side. I don't often post here (in what I've come to think of as "Jadeanne's Thread"! ) because, the truth is, I don't often dress fully en femme like you and some of the others here do. For the record (and despite my pix on the gallery), I'm a huge fan of skirts, of which I own more than two dozen in a wide array of styles, lengths, and fabrics. I used to love tight skirts but now I find them uncomfortable if I'm to be sitting for a while (such as in front of my computer).

Hi all,

Late this morning, I had to leave a church service to fix a work problem. My 2 elderly riders found another ride back to their apt building - no problems that way. My wife (who was assisting with the service) said that afterwards several people offered them rides back.

The next paycheck after I go off call will be that much fatter. I was thinking of maybe another petticoat, shorter and either pink or red. It would work with some of the shorter less full skirts, and provide another one to layer under my other two.

Last night my wife and I opened up 2 sets (10 each goldtone and silvertone) of magnetic catch kits we ordered from QVC and added them to a total of 17 necklaces and bracelets. Several necklaces are now off the "disabled list" and the rest of the ones that now have magnetic catches are off the PITA list.

That sounds like a great outfit! I especially love that dress. Is that what you're wearing in your avatar picture? How high are your heels? You are going to have to practice in them. This 5 foot 11 inch child of the 50s limits her heel height to under 3 inches.

I have 3 short satin nightgowns that I also use as camisoles and mini length full slips, and a few other short nightgowns that I sometimes use as maid uniforms.

I visit some of the fantasy clothing websites and when I see their prices, their fantasy is that I would spend huge amounts of money on those outfits - not when I can use my imagination to come up with alternatives and have a wife who can sew (and very slowly is trying to teach me).



Tonight, I'm wearing a vintage homemade (by my late mother in the 50s 60s or 70s) green floral print summer dress. It has short sleeves, a high neck, with the pouffed out (with my white petticoat) hemline just above my knees. My stockings are town taupe, shoes are navy pumps (I originally put on my white ones, but changed to navy to match my purse). My clip earrings are goldtone hoops, necklace is a short goldtone chain and heart shaped locket that was my late mother's (put back on the active list with the addition of a magnetic catch). My bracelets and watch are also goldtone.

Underneath, my petticoat liner is a white half slip. My bra is a beige Playtex 18 hour softcup, holding up my stockings is my Rago waist cincher/garterbelt. An additional black waist cincher is covering the bra - garterbelt gap. My panties are dark blue satin briefs.
