Hi Rikki,

Do you even have a male wardrobe anymore?

How long did it take you to develop your current wardrobe? Did you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe when you decided to dress 24/7?

Thank you!!! :)

Hi everyone,

Tonight after getting home from work and having dinner I fell asleep and after I finally woke up, I didn't feel like changing out of my drab male clothes, so no femme clothing for me tonight until I put on my long nylon nightgown.

I haven't posted to this thread since Sunday night. Monday was a drab night - chairing a church meeting. Last night I posted to the maid service thread and was wearing my "maid dress" with petticoat and corset.

Beauty,

I think expanding this thread to include "How I Developed My Wardrobe" would be a good idea, inviting more participation. I think it's great when we have replies from underdressers, too.

What are you wearing?

Today, we got a lot of things done getting ready for the holiday.

My wife is a Sunday School teacher and we were both at church this morning. She was helping run the final rehearsal for the pageant tomorrow and I was working on the office computer doing virus definition updates, etc.

In the afternoon, after lunch. picking up cat supplies, and visiting some shutins, my wife said things were going well and wanted to stop at a dollar store. In the same plaza was a thrift store and she picked out a surprise gift that I'm wearing now.

Tonight I am wearing a bright red sheer lace and satin bridesmaids dress. It has long sleeves, a high neckline, and a low cut back (I'm glad I have a sweater in my cool computer room). The hem is high/low - the front hem is just below my knees and in the back it's almost ankle length. There's a bow in the back. It's certainly beautiful and a good buy. I'm sure I'll get at least $8 of enjoyment from it. My white petticoat poufs it out nicely.

My stockings are brown beige Nationals with reinforced heel and toe. My shoes are gold pumps with a 1 1/2 inch heel. My accessories are goldtone dangly earrings, a gold and silver chain, red stretch bracelet, goldtone wristwatch, bleached blonde wig.

Underneath, I have on my white merry widow with garters and pink satin panties.

What are YOU wearing today?

Tonight, I'm NOT wearing my wife's church outfit. She wears her long dark cranberry long sleeved dress pretty often to church when it's cold weather.

I'm wearing one of my wife's 2 Christmas tops - this is a long sleeved white crew neck top with slightly raised large ornaments (red green, and yellow) and black and white cats.

The rest of my outfit: a burgundy knee length skirt, gold pumps, and Hanes Silk Reflections stockings in little color.

My accessories are goldtone dangly heart shaped clip earrings, gold band wristwatch, goldtone and enamel bangle bracelet, 2 large link goldtone chains, bleach blonde wig.

Underneath, it's all black - lacy full slip, longline bra, obg and satin briefs.

What are you wearing?

I hope everyone is having a happy holiday.

Tonight I'm wearing the dress that I wore when I started this thread, green floral 2 piece dress with short sleeved top, knee length pleated skirt, pouffed out by I'm also wearing brown beige National stockings with reinforced heel and toe, and white pumps with 2 inch heels (it's after Labor Day, so I hope the old school fashion police aren't reading this :)

Accesories: silvertone initial bracelet (a Christmas present from my wife), silver and turquoise bracelet watch (loaner from my wife) and a silver chain with a diamond chip pendant that my wife gave to me tonight - the pendant was my mother's (given to her by her mother) and the chain is one that we bought for her to wear the pendant on. My earrings are silvertone dangly heart shaped clips and my wig is my favorite bleached blonde one.

In addition, I have polished fingernails tonight - another Christmas present from my wife was a set of nail polishes (Bon Bon scented Fun Fruits) I'm wearing the kiwi green color - it goes along with my dress.

Underneath, I'm wearing a white longline bra, white Cortland Foundations 6 garter OBG, and mint green hanes satin panties.

What pretty things are YOU wearing?

Hi Jadeanne,

I fell asleep, so I wasn't able to post what I wore last night, but I'll tell you now.

Last night my wife gave me two options for an evening outfit. I had the choice of my maid's uniform or my bunny outfit.

I chose the maids outfit with thigh high f'nets and the appropriate heels.

It was a  . . . ahem . . . a great evening. :)

ANYWAY ;), I was proud of myself because I did my makeup the best I'd ever done.

Today, I'll probably just frolic around the house in a mid length (below the knee) black skirt and white blouse, with tan hose and comfy 2" heels.

Right this sec I have on forms, a diamelle choker, big eyelashses, a bra, and black undies. :)

Beauty,

Is your maid uniform the dark green one you're wearing in your gallery picture? I hope you post some more pics of it. I'm not sure if you posted any pics of your bunny outfit - please tell us if you did.

Your "around the house" outfit sounds really nice.

I went to work today and fell asleep after dinner, and I'm in drab tonight.

I'll try to dress more appropriately next time.

Christmas morning for unwrapping gifts...

My new nightshirt that says "When God made me, He was just showing off!"

My SO loved it!

When she opened her presents, there was a similar nightshirt in one of them from me.

Rikki,

I'm sure you will both love your matching nightshirts.

On Christmas morning, my wife and I wore our matching Woman Within long sleeved long nylon nightgowns - mine red, hers teal, but we are the same size, so we swap them sometimes. After breakfast and opening our stocking presents, late in the morning we changed to other clothes. I wore male clothing until after our early afternoon dinner - didn't want to take a chance getting messy carving the ham. We took our time opening and enjoying each gift.

Tonight I'm wearing a new 2 piece dress that my wife bought today from Avenue. When we went there before Christmas, she selected a couple of things from the $6.99 sale rack and made me leave while she bought me (as I found under the tree later) a silver initial bracelet. When she paid, they gave her an after Christmas coupon for 20% off.

Today we went back with the coupon, and the $6.99 rack items were now $4.99. A matching top and skirt, a blue paisley ruffled skirt, and a pair of slacks went home with us, along with change back from a $20 bill :) .

The 2 piece dress is purple with a blue and gray floral print. the top has a high lattice v neck and 3/4 sleeves with a single ruffle. The skirt is midcalf on me. I'm also wearing black National nonrun stockings with reinforced toe and black pumps with 2 inch heels.

My accessories are a string of silver beads, my new silvertone initial bracelet (Christmas present), a white and purple floral cuff bracelet, a new silvertone watch (worn with permission from my wife - it was a Christmas present to her from me), silver dangly clip earrings, short curly ash blonde wig.

Underneath I have on lacy beige full slip, a white floral print Bestform underwire bra, beige Crownette OBG, and purple floral panties.

What are you, the reader of this post, wearing?

Not much of a male wardrobe anymore. A nice wool blazer, a dress shirt and tie and a couple of polo shirts is about it. Women's pants and shoes and women's shirts most of the time when I dress "male."

My current wardrobe has been developing for about 5 years now. Started out slow--we were broke then.

No, I didn't go out and buy a whole new wardrobe when I went full time. I had quite a few nice, real-world wearable things. I made sure that I did before embarking on that. Most of them I still have. I think I did buy quite a few new things around that time, though--especially enough bras and panties to last all week.

Going full time was, if anything, easier than I expected. The hardest part was co-workers who had negative stereotypes about TG people. Had I been properly warned, I would have bent over backwards to avoid playing to type. (In this case, it was a youth agency that had quite a few TG clients,

(sorry about the disconnect)...I was working for a youth agency that had a lot of TG clients--homeless youth in the Hollywood area. Most of them turned tricks, some did drugs and a few sold them too.

Many on the staff unfortunately reflected those stereotypes onto me, the first TG adult they had ever met. Of course, they didn't say anything, so I wasn't aware that's what was going on. Had I known, I would have bent over backwards to counteract those stereotypes, by being very open about being happily married, dressing very conservatively, and so on.

So you heard it first here--the hardest thing about transitioning isn't doing it, it's dealing with people's preconceived notions about us (thanks, Jerry Springer!).

Happy New Year, everyone! ^@^

My wife and I stayed home last night, enjoying each other's company

We stayed in today, and I'm dressed up in my red lace and satin bridesmaid's dress.

When we bought it at a thrift store, my wife looked inside and there was a size tag which she believed. She thought we both could wear it, but when we got home, we found out it was smaller than the size tag - too small for her, but I can just fit into it (my corset helps). It can't be zipped up all the way if my homemade breast forms are inserted - I put them in after zip-up.

Once I'm in, it's really pretty, with long sheer lace puffy sleeves, a high/low hem, and a bow on my butt  It's worth the effort to get into it and I think I'll get my money's worth of enjoyment out of it. It cost $8.

I pouffed it out a bit with my white petticoat, and I think my gold pumps and new gold purse (New Years gift from my wife) go with it very nicely My stockings are brown beige with reinforced heel and toe. My accessories are a gold rope chain, gold watch, red elastic bracelet, gold bangle bracelet, new Christmas bell clip earrings, bleached blonde wig, AND red lipstick (my resolution is to learn/use makeup more).

Underneath, I'm wearing a red underwire bra to hold my forms, and red satin panties.

What did you wear last night for New Year celebrations?

I wish I'd have the courage to go out in public all dressed up, like so many of you do. But I doubt my friends would like that. Young people can be so brutal, mean and closeminded sometimes.

Or even better, I'd like to go to my university in some cute school uniform!

Cute = Good :P

Today I am wearing a pair of pull on women's jeans.
In addition I am wearing a black mock neck with a lavender blouse.
My SO complimented me on how things matched.
