I love to read Women's fashion magazines- so many lovely outfits to look at and tips on doing makeup. My two Favorites are Glamour and Cosmoplitan. What ones do you girls look at?

I subscribe to Marie Claire, but I occasionally pick up issues of Elle, Lucky and Vogue.

I subscribe to Cosmo and Vogue and have on occassion - well pretty darn often, pick up the others. Great ideas and up date on new types of make-up, etc.

Hi Girls
I just got a PM from Silver lady and she was all upset. She found a Motor Trend and Popular Mechanics in Virginia's panty drawer. I think we might have to have an intervention girls. This is serious.

I think we can let those two slide. Now, if we find a 'Guns & Ammo', then it'll be time to talk Virginia out of that new camo evening dress and the ammo pouch purse with the holes on the straps for shotgun shells.

I don't read fashion mags much. Once in a while I will glance at my daughters Cosmo Girl or Seventeen but it always gets me angry at all the distrubed thinking they foist of on vulnerable teenage girls so I try to avoid reading them. I do enjoy looking at all my wifes catalogues, Chadwicks, Newport News and so on. Thats enough fashion advice for me.

Is Girl Talk still around? Are there any other fashion magazines for us? even though my femme side probably won't like them either......

I heard that Virginia subscribes to Women And Handguns. I guess that's okay since it's a womens magazine.

Hey girls!

For what it's worth, we have two signs in our yard, I found them in, of all things, a motorcycle magazine:

"IF YOU CAN READ THIS, YOU'RE IN RANGE"

"WE DON'T CALL 911"

Uh, we also have fairy statues in the flower beds!

Keep the faith ladies!

OK girls, confession time: Tucked under my Cosmo is a copy of In-Fisherman.

But I live in "Da UP, for God's sakes!"

By the way, I tried on my new chest waders yesterday, and there ain't no way those are gonna work with breastforms.

Gawd you gals are funny. I'm having a good laugh. I don't have subscriptions, but I do pick up In-Style and Self mag's.

I tend to pick them up in airports or on vacation more than in my regular day-to-day life, and I've rarely had any kind of magazine subscription in my life (and never a newspaper subscription.) I've enjoyed InStyle and Marie Claire more than the others I've read, but there's always something of interest and something that I find disturbing no matter which magazine I pick up.

What I should really be on the lookout for is great fashion web sites! Each of the magazines has their own in addition to the usual informal collection of fashion blogs but I've never spent any time on any of them. Any favorites?

I like "Marie Claire's" website the best. There are interactive fashion and make-up pages where you can upload your own picture and try different looks. Though, the last time I tries it I couldn't get the fashion page to work. I don't know if it was malfunctioning, or I was doing something wrong.

Over the past year I've bought a different woman's magazine every month or so, hoping to find the one that I feel "at home" with. So far the closest have been "Marie Claire" and "Ladies Home Journal". If I ever find one that feels just right for me I'll let you know.

I suppose it's the same old problem. Wanting to be like the ladies and actually being like the ladies is not necessarily the same thing.
