Spend Halloween with the trippy transvestite Dr. Frank N. Furter and his crew of misfit malcontents atThe Rocky Horror Show. Oh, and don’t forget Brad and Janet! ACE Community Theatre’s production of the musical uses the Broadway revival score, which includes an extra song for Brad — “Once in a While,” which has a bit of a bite to it. There’s a costume party for the audience after the midnight show on Halloween, so wear your best Rocky gear. 11:55 p.m. October 17 and 31, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Through October 31. 17011 Bamwood. For information, call 281-587-1020 or visit www.acetheatre.org. $15 to $25.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 17, 11:55 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 31, 11:55 p.m. Starts: Oct. 16. Continues through Oct. 31, 2009

To add some spice to the event Mr Elphick passed over the traditional tuxedo and instead opted for fishnets, shiny vest, high heels and pearls ensemble made famous by Dr Frank-N-Furter in the smash hit musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

“He was comfortable in the outfit; he stayed in his high heels much longer than me.”

Rather confusingly for me I have often been associated with Brad from the Rocky Horror, confusingly because A/ I am the sweet transvestite, and B/ because I actually shared a flat with Brad!

But another story, a civilian friend of mine, a computer programmer by trade was on an assignment in East Anglia when he heard that the rocky horror show was coming to town. As an aficionado he was a regular when ever the show was on in London, so home for the weekend he picked up his costume and made sure that he was ready in costume for the show in Norwich. Unfortunately for him he was the only person in the whole audience on the first night in costume, Basque fishnets stilettos the lot!

Oh to have been a fly on that wall! =D> =D> =D>
