I picked up Kyra at her hotel, and went to dinner at Pepperoni Grill in Penn Square Mall. Good dinner, then we went wandering through lots of stores, Dillards, Cold Water Creek, JCPennys, Lane Bryant, etc.. Niether of us wound up buying anything, but it was fun poking about. I found a really cute cardigan that was too much, but got a sale cupon for 25% off, but the sale doesn't start until the 14th. I will go back, as that much discount makes it in my price range.
Tried to talk Kyra into a pair of new shoes at PayLess, but she kept being logical and claiming they were too dressy. They fit her and really made her legs look good though. Higher heels than I like, but she is young and can handle the heights better than I.
Anyway, we will try again tomorrow eve before she has to go back home. It is really nice to meet someone from the forum face to face.

Shopping is always a great reason to gather girl friends.

Glad you girls had a good time. I'm surprised you two escaped without a little purchase at least

A friend, food and shopping, can not ask for much more fun than that.

Kyra and I went for Greek food last night, and it was good. Sadly we missed the Flamenco dancing on Friday night, and the Belly dancing on Saturday night.

The food was really good though. Then we went to a strip mall, but arrived kinda late as the shops closed at 8 and we got there at 7:45. Went to the Half Price Book place and I bought too many books, but Kyra just found two.

The strip mall has a Ross, Marshalls, Lane Bryants, and Dustiees and two shoe stores, all closed or closing. Oh well, another time maybe.

Hi ladies,
For the past few months I've been travelling around the country a bit more (job related) and doing so has presented an opportunity.
It didn't occur to me soon enough to organize something with Virginia and SL back in January. (Don't worry, next time I will be ready!) In February I visited our dear friend Caith and we went out for a nice meal and then a short tour around her town. We talked about any number of things as we drove through the city. I had a great time. Unfortunately, we were only afforded one evening to visit. My job took an unexpected turn and I didn't have time to do more.
My trip to Oklahoma went much better. The job didn't throw any surprises my way. Carolynn and I were able to have two full evenings together.
Dining, shopping, and most importantly, great companionship made a wonderful trip for me.
I look forward to more outings in the future!
Thanks to both Carolynn and Caith! It's definitely been wonderful visiting with friends I've made here.
Hugs,
Kyra

My Tri-Ess chapter has a deal with a couple of resale shops and a Dress Barn, where they open up the store for an hour after closing to our chapter. Then after wards we get together at a local restaurant for dinner.

JoAnn, what a good idea, I hope some other chapters can work a deal like this for our shyer sisters.
