Hey! Just sayn aloha and been having fun re reading posts when I last dropped by here long ago---fun stuff and I thought it'd be fun to share what I pack in my sporty little marmot bag these Post holidays: A really clever brow defining compact (f Lancome ),Crimson LipGloss ( Aveda), and a super cool eye make up kit (sephora pro lesson palette), all presents f way cool friends-who I so admire. Some fun northern looks to see here too: fun to see how people layer here and one version of ak chic seems favoring buckle clogs and doubling up wool sweaters and magnetic-clasp bracelets made f antique spoons. ....wonder what else you'd pack in your travll'n light cosmetic kit!? Happy new year!

Welcome back.
I don't carry a bunch of cosmetics around, usually a lip pencil, lipstick and maybe some gloss depending on the occasion.
Maybe a nice powder compact would be something more to think about.

Welcome back Tea Cake
Make up wise I normally only pack a compact and some lipstick to freshen up my lips. In addition I carry a brush, my purse (for money) and my mobile phone.

I have the problem that most GGs seem to have of wanting to carry everything in my bag, diary, pen, wallet, comb, tissues, 'phone, cards, lippy, powder compact, nail file, mascara, a spare bag in case I see something I want to buy, a spare stocking/pair of tights, maybe a book to read if I stop for a coffee, the list could be endless.

glad to revisit here and to read and see how change has snuck in on me the last few years and trying to see what still seems true to me and what ideas have drifted away over time... thanks much for the welcome back, its a special place here, I admire how you all have maintained a kind and supportive place.
the fun part of having some makeup along has been connecting with a few girlfriends I've gotten to know over the last few years and hearing what take they seem to have on what works for them at this point in their lives.
I find myself wanting to rock more interesting clothes, earrings and shaped brows if I know I'm going to run into these girls.
Just a few little things are fun enough too, the pretty smelling powders and tiny brushes and classy little cases are confidence builders to have along for some reason ( even if the timing isn't right to be able to use them!)
My bag is way small or I'd probably think of a bunch of other stuff to have in it too!

I carry the makeup it takes to rebuild my face if need be. After that, add my hair brush and a sample size perfume.
For the other stuff, it's minimal with a bit of money, credit cards, etc. I don't carry a wallet, but rather I have organizer purses. My car keys always fit my purse too.

Ditto me on that. Also a hair pick for my wig, tissues, extra lipstick, nail polish that I have on, wallet, money, cellphone, and my colors booklet for shopping. Also any coupons, lists, or directions to where I may be going.

How about a can of MACE in case you meet someone who wants to be
too friendly.

I just bought a new bag with a special long pocket at the bottom especially for one of those collapsible umbrellas - more useful in the UK than mace!
