After work today I went to a local lingerie shop for the first time. The owner was amazing! She literally took me by the hand a lead my around her shop. I purchased 4 matching sets(tops and bottoms). After that I threw caution to the wind and went for a pedicure. The technician looked a little shocked when I told her that I wanted a color(light pink) and a few of the other patrons gave me strange looks but what the heck. Oh by the way, I was in my male cloths.

fun! I hope you get to keep your color on your nails for more than a day.

All weekend I don't have to remove until Sunday.

I used to go to my nail salon dress as a male and get a pedicure and get my toes polished. No one paid much attention and the nail tech did not seem to really care. Then one day I came in as JoAnn and when I told my nail Tech who I was, she go real excited. had me turn all around so she could see my outfit. Then she started telling the other tech in Vietnamese and they came over and started asking questions and making comments about my hair and outfit. Now when I come in, they say "Hello JoAnn" and treat me like any GG that comes in. If I am in a dress or skirt and getting a pedicure, she drapes a towel across my knees, just like she does for any women. I am totally accepted and that really makes me feel great.

There's something about a woman's touch when you're buying clothes etc for dressing up. I know that a couple of times when I've bought wigs, I've felt that sort of tender care in the way the assistant is treating me. It really is something special - kind of encouraging you while you're trying to feel your way into the woman's world - telling you that it's alright.

I agree, Anthony. My experience buying a wig at a wig shop went the same way. The woman who fitted me was just wonderful.I left feeling so affirmed, that I wore the wig out of the store.

Anthony and April I have had similar treatment when buying dresses and skirts in ladies shops. Middle aged shop assistants around about my age or slightly younger have treated me like this. Their sympathetic behaviour says it all. It is very gratifying.

What lingerie shop did you go to? I was just curious because I am in South Georgia too. Always looking for a new place to shop in person.

Its wonderful to have a positive shopping experience. I had a similar experience for me was when I went to Victoria's Secret with my girlfriend. I had a couple of coupons in the mail and wanted to go. I asked one of the ladies working there a question about a bra I like but not a specific question referring to me since I was in my male cloths. The lady turned to my girlfriend assuming it was for her and asked if she was ever fitted before, about 20 seconds of awkward silence where my girlfriend looks at me like do you want to say it or should I? I told the lady it was for me, she handled it professionally helped me get into a changing room with no questions keeping it privetly between us. She was most helpful and I thanked her multiple times for her help. I ended up getting a bra and panty set for less than $25. It was a good shopping day.

Yep you would be surprised how easy it is as 99% of the people could care less, it's all about your money

I do all my shopping at this time in male clothes. I agree that the some shop assistants are wonderful and helpful.
