Hi Ladies,
Well despite some bad weather I was able to get out and see some of Newport. With the iffy weather I decided in door things would be good. First stop the visitor info center for map and directions to some of the old mansions. First stop the Breakers, so named for its location on the cliff above the ocean. It was built in the 1890s for the Vanderbilt family of New York. Know for the railroad and steamship companies they owned. 138,000 sg ft, with 70 rooms. The next stop was Roseclffl, built in 1899 it was built as a summer home for Theresa Oelrichs. A Nevada silver heiress. Then it was off to dinner and a couple drinks.
