In fashion show on 9/15: wish me luck!

Hi girls,

A while ago I posted that the Christopher & Banks store in Asheville asked if I wanted to be in their next fashion show for the fall. Well they called and asked if I still wanted to do it and I said yes! It will be on Saturday, September 15. I'm going this Saturday, September 8 for a fitting of the outfit they asked me to model. The girl on the phone said it's a long wine colored skirt, cream colored top and sweater. This coming Saturday I'm going to the store and try it on to see how it looks and if it fits properly. If it doesn't fit well or I don't like how it looks on me, they can select another outfit for me.

I'm excited at doing the show but at the same time kind of nervous as I never did modeling before. Plus I will be the first transgender girl to ever do this at this particular store. From what I understand, a transgender girl modeled clothes at another Christopher & Banks store a while ago but not at the Asheville store. The sales associate who asked me to model said these shows are usually crowded with a lot of women in the store but she thinks I will be fine. Still I hope no one there at that show has any qualms about a TG girl doing the modeling? Since I am the first transgender girl doing this there I want it to go perfectly and hope everyone there accepts me.

I'll post after the show. I'll ask one of the sales associates there to take some pics of me with my camera. I might try and practice at home next week. Wish me luck! Thanks.

Best of luck Sephie, Break a leg as they say in the theater. I hope all goes really well for you and that you have a great time. I would so love to be in a fashion show. As for there being lots of women there, stand tall and be all the woman you can be, and I don't think being TG will be an issue.
That if it was the store would not have asked tin the first place.

Humm... "I never modeled before... I hope...." Girl, if they aren't worried, why are you? If they wanted a pro, they would have hired one -- they wanted YOU.

"I hope everything goes.... full of women....." And then there was one more woman, named Steffie... There are only two things you need to worry about being with a room full of women -- is there enough toidy seats and which one of the women wants a cat fight. You'll be fine. Just don't be on the seat too long and don't make the wrong woman too jealous.

Looking forward to hearing about the cat fight... I mean looking forward to hearing how fun and wonderful it was.
