Recently i've been making a real effort to connect with like minded girls from my area. In this vein, I invited one to come and visit me a week or so ago. She came to the house and we had a lovely evening together and really struck up a friendship.

Anyway - on opening the front door she handed me a bunch of flowers! Nobody has ever given me flowers before and I have to say I was so touched by the gesture! I've got them in my kitchen window and I've kept watering them each day so that they last as long as possible.

With this in mind I went to meet up with another girl and her wife yesterday. I took flowers with me and they both responded in the same way too!

Now when I was married, obviously i bought flowers for my wife - but being on the other end of that transaction is new to me and I just love it!

So that's my two penneth anyway! Say it with flowers!

I couldn't agree more, getting flowers makes my heart sing I think it's great you are meeting up with other CD's, somewhat hard to do in my area so far.

I love flowers. I am so jealous. Lol Its so awesome. Enjoy them and let them warm your heart of friendship with each site of them and every fond rememberance of your dear friend. It's a lovely gesture.

yeah, flowers are wonderful I very rarely ever buy Ro flowers, but I grow them for her.

I grow flowers, but can never quite bring myself to cut them to bring indoors, so I do buy flowers. Sometimes I buy them for my wife, sometimes for myself ~ I do like to have some flowers in the house. A while we back had a short conversation that went "You haven't bought me any flowers for ages" "Well you have never bought me any" since then occasionally she does bring some flowers home.

I love receiving flowers, but a trans man I know feels insulted if given flowers. Why is it that it has become the nor to give girls flowers and blokes wine ~ I see this often at the end of a concert, yet at the Olympics and the Tour de France all the medal winners were given flowers.

I think its a lovely gesture. Nobody has ever bought me flowers...(boo hoo) but if they did, I thinks I may cry!
