Dancing

Since I've had the nerve to get out of the front door en femme, I have noticed that the time when I feel most feminine is when I am dancing!
I can remember really having difficulty in my teens going to dances because the second I got into dancing, I immediately felt that people would see how feminine I am. Like I couldn't hide it! So requests to dance were a nightmare for me! I felt like I was having to do a male impersonation.
Nowadays I don't need to hide it and I get so much positive feedback about it that I can't get enough!
The movement seems so natural to me and once I am locked into the music I'm away! Of course, as a musician I have a real love of music so I guess it's no surprise that it triggers me!
The funny thing was that I could dance in heels even before I could walk properly in them! I can remember going to a dance in heels and friends giving me tips on walking properly in them - once we were on the dance floor I was far more mobile and nimble than they were.
Of course - when I go dancing, there is also the thing about looking your best - but more than that, it seems to me that dancing doesn't work unless you are committed - you give yourself up to something. It literally enables me to embody my femininity and I love it!
Anybody else get that?
