Boldness can help

Tuesday is "Senior Discount Day" at our Supermarket and I went this morning after putting on my slim genes, calf high 4" heels and full makeup. The makeup included some new glittery eye shadow and lip liner that I bought at my favorite discount store yesterday. I have been going somewhat like this for most of my adult life but today I just felt like being extra bold.
While shopping I didn't think a whole lot about it and was my usual funny guy. One of the lady stoickers was stocking a bottom shelf with some small items in the toiletries section and was sitting on the floor.
I asked her who you had to know to get a nice sit-down job like that. She laughed and responded,"I didn't realize when they said they had a sit-down job that this was it."
When I checked out, one of the baggers that I joke with all the time complimented me on my boots and outfit, and said she realy liked my makeup. I thanked her and left really uplifted.

I'm always freindly but not always bold. I am finding that people that know me are freindly no matter how I am dressed and how my makeup is done.
I have been doing makeup long enough that I know how it looks best for me. Sometimes I like to push those limits just to see if someone will mention it. Somehow i enjoy this. Is that weird?
My wife barely ever says anything about my makeup because she is used to it but when she says that my makeup is too much I take another look at it. I sometomes make some changes but not always. She loves me anyway.
