An afternoon at the DR

Thursday I had to see the VA cardiologist in Omaha NE which is about 4 1/2 hours away from where I live.
I went down as Leeza the day before and stayed with my son and his family who live in Lincoln. Then made the last of the trip on appointment day and of course as Leeza.
I have never had a problem with any of the staff in the past when dressed. This time started no different. I checked in with no problem. The nurse called me in to check weight, blood pressure, O2 and run an EKG. She remembered me from the last time and we chatted a bit. The dr was new to me but there was no problem and the news was good. I had 3 more people to deal with there on some paperwork and no problem till the last one.
There was a little delay with the last one and we conversed some. When she went to finish up my papers she asked for a power of attorney even though I had presented her with my ID. I guess I was to convincing as a woman and she had trouble thinking of me as a guy. I think she was a little embarrassed when she finally realized I was the person on my ID. I took it for a compliment and and told her I appreciated it.
