Shopping with a GG Friend

Post by Heather W »

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I had a date to go shopping with a GG friend last Saturday. When Amy arrived at my place she quickly told me my outfit had to go, I was in a skirt, heels, and hose. She told me to blend in, especially on a Saturday afternoon at the mall, jean and flats were the choice. Seeing as I didn't have any jeans she chose my denim calf length skirt with navy tights and ballerina flats. Our first stop was Penney's to look at dresses for her and jeans for me. I must have tried on 10 pairs of jeans before I found the right fit. Amy just laughed and said "welcome to being a woman".

Next it was to dresses and she probably tried on 7 or 8 before deciding on 2, she said she would decide which to wear to the wedding when the time came. I guess I never thought like that but she said it was common and she did that a lot. Guess I learned something. Then it was my turn. I tired on4 or 5 dresses before Amy handed me the one. It was a beautiful mostly white with a touch of blue in a paisley like design with a blue belt and sleeveless. Thank God I shaved my armpits that morning. I tried it on and it fit like a glove! I got it and as I was paying for it I wondered if those blue shoes I so loved would work with it so we headed off to shoes :? . Amy said definitely so I got a pair. @@9@@

We ended up having dinner at a cute little restaurant and as we talked she told me I would look adorable in that dress and shoes with my painted toenails peeking out. I told her I never went without hose and she to get with it. I told her my legs were too pasty white. That lead to our last stop on the way back to my place, CVS. She showed me the self tanning lotion she used to give her legs some color. She did say it would take a week or so. I stared that night with it and after 4 nights I can see a difference! *-* Now maybe I will have the confidence to go sans hose like most women today do, at least in the summer.

When it comes to shopping I prefer to go alone as my wife is the pickiest women about cloths for Carol Ann I have even seen, no not you, not your color, etc. etc. ](*,) . Now what is a girl to do :-k .

I love shopping with a friends or friends. It seems like I usually buy less when I am with another girl but I enjoy it so much more.

I so enjoyed your shopping story. My GG has shopped for me and when I relayed your story she seemed interested in shopping together soon. So thank you Heather for the inspiration.
