All dolled up in a dolly wig
wear glittering lemon catsuits like she's wearing at her gigs
I wanna love like Dolly Parton
Turning all my trials to song
As in 'I will always love you'
In my music righting wrongs.

V1
Now there are all kinds of women I have taken
To my heart
There's a space for Marie Curie, Charlotte Bronte
For a start
There's a place for Mrs Roosevelt, Annie Oakley, Mother Jones
But I tell you Dolly Parton has a place that's all her own

chorus
Cause I wanna Live like Dolly Parton
All dolled up in a big blonde wig
Those glittering lemon catsuits I'll be wearing at my gigs
I wanna love like Dolly Parton
Turning all my trials to song
Like some southern lady preacher
In her music righting wrongs

V11
Now there are all kinds of women you could look to
To get wise
Suffragettes and Pioneers outwitting
all the guys
I'm admiring Mrs Roosevelt, Annie Oakley, Mother Jones
But I tell you Dolly Parton is just out there on her own.....

Chorus

V111
Now Dolly is outstanding, and I ain't talking
brassiere size
She done built her own big funfair where they's riding
in them skies
She's shapely and she's funny and she's pretty
and unique
When God made Dolly Parton why he spent the
whole darn week!

Chorus
I want to live like Dolly Parton
All dolled up in a dolly wig
wear glittering lemon catsuits like she's wearing at her gigs
I wanna love like Dolly Parton
Turning all my trials to song
As in 'I will always love you'
In my music righting wrongs.

finale:
I'm admiring Mrs Roosevelt, Annie Oakley, Mother Jones
But I tell you Dolly Parton is just out there on her own

Hi Darlene,

Yes, if I was to make a nomination for Ambassador of Love, Dolly would be my first choice.

About a year ago I saw Larry King interview Dolly Parton. It was a great show. At one point she said that had she been born a man she would have most definitely have been a drag queen because as she put it, "I just love all this girly stuff". So I guess we can all rest assured she understands what we are all about.
