Goin to the "Prom"

Post by Virginia »

As I posted earlier, I made a personal (in your face - sorta) appeal to the local GLBT group to see if they would allow a crossdresser to attend their upcoming "prom" called "A Night of Elegance." held at the local Wyndham hotel. Any of you ladies who want to shell out twenty-five dollars I can probably get you in but you gotta be quick, it is the 18th of June from 7 -11pm. Includes a buffet and live music. They have a special rate at the hotel for Saturday night $69.00. Dress is semi-formal to formal and you gotta be at least 18 - Donna!!!! Beauty!!! You two would have to furnish ID's. Anyway, I am now dealing with thoughts about a post I started several months ago that I got only a few responses to - no big deal, but it asked: If you are in the above situation, presenting as a lady and are asked to dance, I would assume by another lady since it is not likely that a guy at a function like this would ask, what would you do (asuming you are a straight heterosexual male) and who leads??? I am sure I will be "read" but through no fault of my own, it just comes with the territory, as these folks are expert in the art, I would assume. I talked with my TS friend who is going with me (only as two girls - not a date per se). She said that, yes I would probably be read, but it is a very friendly group and I should act as a lady and either accept or decline gracefully as any lady would. I sure hope someone does ask me to dance, but again it will be mostly if not all couples anyway so if I don't get asked it won't hert my feelings for that reason, not like it is a bar scene thing. Would I accept a dance from a lady ????? Makes my heart race just thinking about it! Don't know - I will, as the saying goes, play it by ear - uh so to speak. There will be a photographer there so if it is not too expensive I'll have Donna post my pictures - won't you dear? I will also take a camera myself, I want you to see Brandi, if she will let me post her picture. Anyway, getting excited about it and I will let you know how it goes.
Love ya,
Virginia

Sure, I'd be glad to post any of your pictures again, Virginia.

As for dancing, well that is what you are supposed to be there for, so if a girl or boy asks, then dance if you've a mind to. There should be no sexual innuendoes regardless of who you dance with. Girls just wanna have fun, fight?

Hi Virginia,

I'm sorry .. I don't remember you post. :(

I would dance with a gal if I was asked to dance. I imagine I'd dance with a guy too. It would just be dancing. So I don't think I'd have a problem with it. :) A slow dance would be cute with a gal. :)

Again I apologize for not seeing your post about this before. :?

Hi all,

I believe this is the thread that Virginia was referring to:

http://crossdressers-forum.com/forums/v ... php?t=4041

I'm far from feeling ready to go out to a CD event dressed, and I'm a horrible dancer (except the Twist - really showing my age  ).

If eventually I did feel ready and go dressed femme to a CD event (and learned to dance better :) ), I would probably feel very honored if someone asked me to dance. My wife loves and supports me, but probably would not want to attend a CD dance and I don't want to force her.

Hi Jadeanne,

I believed Virginia. :) I just missed the post when she posted it the first time. :) I totally understand why you looked it up for me though. Thank you. :)
