Such fun!

Post by Virginia »

Well, last night was fun! I had ordered (at a price of two for one) two new wigs from Paula Young. They came in yesterday!!! I had just recently returned one to them that was my color and hand tied, but too short. These two were the same, but I got them in different shades of brown. I wanted something "wavy" not "curly" and close to my skin tone. Well, I am embarrassed to say how many wigs I have, some very expensive and others - well not so expensive. I have been trying to find some that fit my face and are wavy in a brunette shade. THESE TWO ARE PERFECT! I swear that the darker one brought tears to my eyes as -- you may not believe it, but I have a picture of my mother, we could be sisters! Thanks Mom for the genetics, I won't let you down!
Anyway, I began trying on clothes and mixing and matching stuff, and I have a "cover-up" in kind of a chiffon, printed see-through, in purple that matched the new Adrianna Parpell skirt like they were made together! It is a beautiful outfit, with a white, silk shell pullover blouse with light pearl beading and embroidery around the collar, a pair of dangly rhinestone earrings and matching necklace, $12.50 for the entire outfit and this gal looks like she stepped right out of Vogue!!!! Can you say, "thank you, Goodwill!?" I also have a spaghetti strap, black, ankle length sheath dress that I had never tried on. Fits like it was custom made (its hard to hide 18" arms), so I tried this little black Bollero jacket that I bought - WOW! I could not believe how well they went together!
Today, I found, tucked away in the back of the closet, a black (why is every thing black? other than my skirts!?) anyway, a black with black velvet trim, knee length, cocktail dress that I am dying to try on and see what I can do with that!
This is just too much fun! It is supposed to rain all day, so what's a girl to do!!!!???
Love ya,
Virginia

I resemble my mother also (don't most of us) but I never thought of it in this context.

I loved how you were finding clothes you had forgotten about. You must have quite a wardrobe.

Enjoy

Absaroka -

You'd be surprised at the wardrobes Virginia - and I - have individually, and when you add in the skirts and slacks that she and I can both wear................ well, let's just say that if I had unpacked all our clothes we would need a large bedroom converted into one huge closet! That 'closet' would be just for us girls, though - his stuff could fit into a standard bedroom-size closet and still have some room to spare.

Virginia is absolutely right, though - she looks undeniably and down-right gorgeous in those new wigs - can you say "HOT"?!! - and in the darker of the two she could be her mother's twin sister!! ***()***

Hay Virginia,
A while back you put me on to Paula Young wigs and I am happy with the first one but as you advised me I, too, am looking for a new one. I prefer one that touches the shoulders as my very first one did but just can't seem to find a style I like. Clothes, my wife says I have more clothes and shoes then she ever did, but like you I love to dress up and look good. (--)
