Well today was a fun day as I try on my new nails, you know the ones you glue on. I had painted them before hand and today I put them on. Well my wife just laugh at me as I couldn't seem to pick up anything. So I am wondering how GG and or us girls manage to wear and do normal things with nails?.

Practice, practice, practice.
Use the pads of your fingers, except for coins, which you should find easier to do with the tips.
If the tips are too long, they can be trimmed.

I have long acrylic nails and had to learn how to pickup items. Doona T is correct. I use my pads for some items and the tips of my nails for others. I am a computer programmer and believe or not, had to learn to type on the keyboard using my tips more than the pads of my hands. Try unhooking or hooking a neckless. I finially gave up and got the magnetic claps for my neckless and braclets.

Oh my gosh I played H*** trying to get them off this evening. I do believe I will stick with painting my own nail as they are simple to clean up.

I guess I am fortunate in what I do, beside the point I guess, any way, I have found that the ones I use, Revlon glue ons, usually the natural but I do like the Strawberry Electric color when I can find it, will stay on (unless you knock them off) - about four days is my record for any one nail(s) before it just seems to drop off. Anyway, I put mine on and then paint them. After that, when I have to go en drab, I just use regular nail clippers and a good emery board to file and cut them back to "an acceptable" length, use acetone free polish remover and just wear them until they come off on their own -- usually some where I never notice. I bought a box of clear on EBay - had 1000 in the box -- and I still am using them once in a while too!
It does take a bit of practice but you will also find you use a much more graceful approach to things with your hands!
Remember the heel of a woman's hand hardly ever touches anything, but they use their fingers to caress a lot of things that interest them! Just watch them in a store while shopping!

Virginia,
You are such a wonderful friend what would I do without you?.
Jeannie,
The pain in my ?, you make me laugh so much as we have the ink running in our veins. Sorry girl I have always been know as the man with the blackest thumb as I use the bottom for picking hickies. Girl when YOU get GOOD at it you will not smear a sheet. Now you owe me for my advice and experience.

I just leave them alone these days.

Hi Carol Ann
I hate breaking a nail so I just leave all the hickies on and when the customer says"What are all those little marks on my cover!" I just say" Those are hickies and I usually charge extra, but for you they're on the house."
I also have been weaning my customers off colored inks. I told them OSHA has determined colored ink causes cancer if handled. Now I use stay open black all week and only wash the presses on friday.Sweet!
One great joke to play on a pressman Carol Ann. When they're occupied at the feeder while the press is running mosey on by and shut off a couple of ink fountains. Magenta and yellow are always a good choice. It's a good time. Hugs.
Love
