Thank you! Thank you! You ladies are so sweet. I am still in shock. My SO is a bit more reserved with his joy now- he's cautious and he wants to be sure that I like it and I will stay there before he breathes clear. We are still not out of the woods- I dont know when my first paycheck will be and until them its gonna remain a very frugal lifestyle. Our celebratory dinner was a chocolate shake and some fried cheese curds (YUM). Still, seeing the clouds parts up ahead is a great feeling. Last night he was laughing because I told him that I was so excited at the prospect of having some money- I was finally gonna buy all those fancy cheeses they have at the store! No shoes, or movies, or whatever people buy- fancy cheese with little crackers! Di-vine.
The simple pleasures in life, no?
Latanya, I wish you the best and surely that moment is waiting for you right around the corner. I have been struggling for so long, formally unemployed for a year but I graduated school long before that and it just seemed to never come. Just hang in there. For me, it is worth it to have waited all that time because I got something much better than I could have imagined. I wish the same for you and all the other ladies that are going through the same.
