Taking a leave of absence

Hi all,

I just wanted to say that I'll be taking a leave of absence, I didn't want to leave without saying anything.

I'm not sure for how long I'll be leaving or even whether I'll be back, but in the short while that I have been here actively, I've read a lot of things that have helped me, that made me feel welcome and accepted and I didn't want to leave that unsaid.

Being here has helped me to realize that I don't want to feel ashamed for what I do in my private life, but that I am not even near going outside, being public about it.
Unfortunately, the real world is not as kind as the people here and no matter how much I hate that, that is reality and I have to take that into account.
I still have questions about myself, which I may need to find answers to, but for now, I need to figure this out myself and see where it leads me.
While I am not sure what I am going to do next, but I will be stronger thanks to your help.
So don't worry, I feel great and am doing great and some of that is thanks to you all.
Most of all, this place has given me hope, hope to be accepted for who and what I am.
While I may leave this place, I will not forget it.

Alexia, I wish you all the best in your journey. It is really great you are announcing this absence. I took a couple of months break without saying anything, and I wish I had. I also echo your statements concerning the site. I too would not be where I am without it and the ladies here. Best of luck in all your endeavors!!

sometimes we need time out and away , as we,d say home away from home , just knowing we have a home can make all the difference when we need to come back , or even just to say I have a new home .
