Requal tends to dress as the mood takes her. Sometime light and sexy with mini skirt and tight fitting top and her sexy underwear; or more her age with sensible skirt or dress and appropriate underwear.

I am 43 and for probably 10 years or so I have been fascinated with the "soccer mom" look and have continued to try to perfect it. Granted at size 14 should probably try to lose a few pounds but what is wrong with a semi curvy soccer mom. At my age it is definitely age appropriate and a fun look because there are so many options. Granted it can be a bit mundane at the grocery store but it can be fun to dress up for a "date" with the SO.

My version of the "soccer mom" look is tight jeans, riding boots, and a sweater or blazer. Appropriate for any age, comfortable, and works in a lot of situations.

I am like Lysette, Not ventured out but dress at home. While my actual age is lower 50s. I dress the way I want, maybe mid 20s to mid-late 30s. And yes grown old is mandatory grown up is optional.

For me how you act and feel makes a huge difference on how people see you.Since i will always feel young at heart many have told me that i look at least half my age.My mom who has dementia thinks i am a teenager.I dress as i feel! always done that and always will.Do i worry what others will think? Of course not, this is my life not theirs.

I dress and behave in a manner most appropriate for the occasion!

Hi,

How I dress depends on what I,m involved in and with.

Military uniform and on Parade in front of many 100,s of people , I think for my self nothing has changed since 1960 when I was in NZ Navy uniform in front of our high ups on Parade and many around us and marching with Navy personal behind us , very disciplined and we did what was expected of us , and to day is no different,

As a reinactment member for our Edwardian group 1900 to 1914 we are quite prim and proper and dressed accordingly and very if you like as it was in those years High tea,s and how we talked and acted was very Lady Like so we do just that yet have fun along the way ,

Renaissance , 1400 to 1700 , for myself this involves my background Prussian = German , so I dress in my garb and as close to what we wore and of cause still do to day , how do I act ,

I,m very hostpitable friendly engaging and do PR work in inviting others to show them what we do as a group let them see what it was like many years ago. and try to make people wellcome

I,ll say my dress is very in keeping with how I see myself as a normal born female , I design make and remake and sew my clothes and what I see suits myself long skirts tops can be tee,s or blouse,s or some lovely not too feminine as that wont suit my facial features,

so I look nice and very tidy clean and dare I say maybe a little sexy at times not to much just enough that guys honk their horns going past, so I think I have that okay .

I don't think age or how I act has any bearing on how I present myself as I do get good comments ,
The clothes or garb that I prefer the most is my German wear as that suits me so well so when I come back home from Austraila I,ll start thinking about designing more clothes along this line of thought that I will wear as normal day and evening wear .

As to sexy .

I have brought an outfit along the lines of the can can girls in black and red and reworked that to suit and fit better for our do we have in Melbourne this coming 7 th July in Austraila , the event is a very hands on sexy look so I,ll fit in and my outfit will I hope be a little along the lines of goth look ,

The event dress code is along the goth punk and rockers styles. and after 11 ,30 we change into see through skimpy well not really a lot on , till 4 , 30 am .... as for photos none allowed , so I,ll have some taken later . and maybe show them , will see,

Acting my age ,

age 10 on I was very grown up very tidy and quite disciplined and later with Navy training , well we were,

Dressing your age IMO is more a function of your body type and the situation. A trim, in shape woman of 60 can easily dress as if she were 40 and fit in well. There is a limit to that as well for should that same 60 year old woman dress as if she was 20 she would look silly to be kind. Most CD s tend to dress too young for whatever reason and draw attention to themselves.

In my mind the biggest mistake most girls make is not about dressing their age or not but rather overdressing for the situation. Go to your local mall, get a coffee, take a seat somewhere, and people watch. Observe the women your age and see how they are dressed. I highly doubt you will see many wearing skirts and heels. Yes you may see the occasional casual or maxi skirt but for the most part they are in slacks or shorts depending on the weather. As for heels? You may see the random wedges but for the most part they are flats.

I would bet if you were actually keep track you would find that the 20, 30, 40 somethings you will see in leggings with a smattering of jeans. the 50 and early 60 somethings will be mostly jeans and the more mature females casual slacks such as khakis. Now the next time you want to go to the mall dressed keep this in mind for dressing your age is a lot more then hem length.

Victoria, I'm with you 100%. I say that the more do's and dont's we introduce into society the more we open up opportunities for others to judge. IMHO the world would be better off with less judgement and more acceptance. That said, I wear whatever I want and if people don't like it they can turn their heads the other way and just not look at me. It they like it however, I aim to please and the wolf whistles are always welcome.

thanks for reading,
Deb
