Thomas Edison and his hive of would-be scientists made hundreds of incandescent light bulbs that did not work. Edison when asked about these minor problems replied, "it only takes one working fixture to make all those other failures disappear from view."
Your daughter's first real job since college will help her develop, improve or observe the need to look forward to the next oportunity on her horizon. It is never too late. How does that song go,, "we've only just begun."
The man that came up with [409] cleanner was a good salesman. He purchased the rights to the initial formulae for pennies as it was judged unfit for the purposes that were being evaluated at the time by the chemist. He turned around and named it [409] after his car which had a 409 cu. in. engine in it. Marketed the product made a million + then sold it to Dow Chemical Co. for more. 5 years later and he was broke. The same drive and compassion that drove him to success, drove him down hill at nearly the same speed. He managed to do this several times in his career on a smaller scale. He never could resist the next deal.
Inc magazine likes to feature successful people in business. That is what the magaxine does. Makes us all think that "we can do that." In reality, no one ever duplicates the success of the person that was featured, in the same way. Every road is different. Everyone going down their own road is never the same. Every barber cuts hair and perhaps in a similar fashion but no two shops are constructed exactly the same nor are they internally designed the same. But, they do cut hair. That they have in common. You can tell me more about the printing business than I can.
If you look back, to examine how you came to this business, there are variables that no one else might have experienced but you. Yet, there are many printers out there. The ebb and flow of life. In business today, out of business tomorrow. My observations may not be correct but I take the time to observe and make them as I see this for what it is. The ebb and flow of my life.
Your last input should be used on the "Comedy Hour." That is great schtick!!!! I am still laughing my tutu off.... yes it is pink girlfriend with a white lace trim on the bottom fringe! Imagine how ridiculous that might look on a TG that is 58 years old. I mean really..... below the knee for me, that's what I like to wear most of the time. A lady is always a lady, except when she is busy being otherwise!
