I was not sure how good i could pass as my true female self but tonight solved that.Went to a singles dance dressed in a short red skater skirt, black tights, black heeled ankle boots and a nice black top.Danced the night away with several men plus a few woman.Several of the men kept telling me how young and beautiful i looked and such a soft sweet feminine voice! a few got too friendly with the hands and i had to put a stop to that lol.I now know for sure that passing is a reality with me.It was such a wonderful night.

Wow Victoria, you're brave! I feel OK visiting shops, cafes, even bars, but I think a singles dance would freak me out. Still, you had a good time, so good for you!
A few days ago I very briefly had a fright followed by a pleasant surprise. Last Monday I went to a pub where I regularly meet with friends as Penny. The pub is owned by a friend of mine called Julie. I arrived before any of the other regulars but three rather tipsy construction site workers were standing by the bar. The one who stood nearest to me turned to one of his friends and they laughed. I really thought I was going to be made fun of big time! It turned out they were having some kind of joke at Julie's expense based on the idea that they would buy a huge and expensive round of drinks (no, I don't understand why that's funny either). As Julie handed me my drink, the guy turned to me, and continuing his joke said "Don't pay for that, love!" He didn't really mean it of course, and I wouldn't have let him pay for it anyway, but he certainly wouldn't have called me "love" if I hadn't passed. Was I relieved!

That self-esteem is a beaming sensation. Warm, happy, accepted. I'm so happy for you! I don't really consider myself brave when I go out and an inability to dance is a main reason. If you can do that, never stop! It's like liberation.
