Hi girls,

Here's something I would like to share that happened last night. I was out with 'the lads' and ~D~ was out with 'the girls'. Eventually the two groups met up and I got talking to one of ~D~'s friends.

As the conversation progressed, we got talking about more personal issues and the conversation moved onto art and eventually onto feelings and creativity etc, then it went a bit like this.......starting with me.....

" here's something you don't know about me"

"what, come on tell me, I'm curious"

"well, you know how people see me on a night out, boisterous and bubbly? Well, there's another totally different side to me"

"just what are you trying to say ?"

At this point I looked at ~D~ and she said "your'e choice"

"well, can you remember a few months ago when you tried to put lipstick on me for a laugh ? Well it just wasn't my colour"

"Meaning ? "

"Meaning that I know what my colour is and so does ~D~"

"....er....oh"

"Meaning that next week when I have some spare time, you just wouldn't recognise me"

".....ah "

Later on she had a chat with ~D~ and evidently was quite fine about it all, she said it explains a lot about me that she didn't know, it all fits into place.

And that's that. I'm a little shocked myself, I had no intention of saying anything when I went out last night, it just felt like the thing to do at the time.

Hi Rebecca,

Glad to hear how easily that came out. I had a similar experience with my wife's sister ( not that she had tried to put lipstick on me ). We had been having a really good talk when it just seemed to be the right thing to say. I never had any intention to tell her but all of a sudden the urge to tell her I had a feminine side was too strong to hold back. It turned out to be a good decision, she later told me it was okay and that she was glad I had been honest with her.

I am so happy for you. I know that from my own experience, getting the secret out has this incredibly uplifting effect. It is not just being honest with others. When we tell others who we are, we are not just being true to ourselves, we are being honest with ourselves. It is not must me feeling this positive energy. I am also happy ~D~ is so supportive. This is my one dream. To have a supportive SO who really loves me.

I could not agree more. You all must have extra positive energy, because I for sure feel it. I know it is coming from the love and support I get here. I am truely inspired by my sisters here, and it would appear so are many others. Rebecca, absolutely outstanding.

I am watching the end of "An Officer and a Gentleman" as if I were not emotional enough, and now I am crying.

Hi girls,

You are all so special to me. Thankyou, from the bottom of my heart, thankyou.

The hugs smiley just ain't big enough so I'll just have to put a wig on the monitor and a skirt round the computer and hug that instead.

I really mean it, you girls are so special, thankyou.

Iv'e been busy for the last week or so decorating my mam's and dad's house, putting sessions of 8 hours in without a break, hence the exhaustion, and lack of posts.

Y'know I AM so lucky to have ~D~, the friend I told the other night said that what she would like most in life, is what ~D~ and myself have. It didn't happen overnight, it took years of compassion, dedication, and the guts to dream.

I won't see this person for a few weeks unfortunately. There are so many strange ideas people have about CDing, I would like for her to know a little more about how I am. I told her it wasn't a sexual thing, well not in the gratification sense, anyway. She did advise not to tell the lads I go out with, as they might not understand. It's a shame really, as I feel quite close to some of them, I'll have to give that some serious thought.

Since my dad nearly died in january due to drinking (he was given 1 hour to live and they managed to save him) anyway, since then, he hasn't touched a drop, and his character has changed dramatically, the overbearing part of him has gone. He would always listen and be quite intuitive, but the drink could make him dangerously forcefull. Anyway, a couple of times I have nearly said something to him also, I think I am still testing the water, I don't know how my mam would take it, she seems to have very basic views on life.

I feel this small step, which was totally unexpected, has had a great impact on me, a feeling of liberation, something I am sure most of you will completely understand.

I can only finish this by saying that all the girls on this forum are the best, and when I joined it was one of my best moves ever.

Hi girls,

Just a little update on the above.

I wasn't expecting to see this friend for a week or two, but she phoned and invited ~D~ and myself over for dinner. We had a really nice night just chatting in general, and then I asked how she felt about what I had told her the week before. She said, no problem whatsoever. I showed her some photos of me dressed, taken the same day as the one in the avatar, and she was really great. After that it was fantastic not having to be carefull about what I said, I could refer to CDing without worry.

I suggested one day she come to ours for dinner, and if I felt daring enough I'd be en-femme. She said great, it would be like a girlie night in.

It has meant so much to me, to have told someone not out of necessity, but out of choice.
