Three times now while out shopping with my wife and fully dressed, I have used the ladies changing room while trying on items. Trying on a clothing item is the best way to make sure it fits. My wife found a really nice pair of jeans and brought them to me while I was in a changing room. They said size 14 and I tried them on. They were way too big.

It is not really what I bought. My mother bought me 4 leggings from Romans. The other day I was out shopping for food and my mother called me and asked what size leggings I wore. I had to ask woman's or juniors? She said woman's so I told her large. Today in the mail came a package from Romans and inside was 4 new pairs of leggings.

Yesterday I received my most recent order from Target. I bought a pair of Converse One Star cargo pants. They are rather shiny something I was not expecting. I also bought a dress and top that were on clearance as part of the Go International brand. The top is a loose top that is black on top and blends down to blue. The dress is a really nice black sheath dress with silver buckles on the straps.

Bargains on line !

Evidently "Old Navy" is going broke. I just bought three cute knit knee-length skirts for $6.99 each.

I've also been seeing huge discounts on line from Lane Bryant.

Good time to buy.

Hugs,

Lydia

I went out this afternoon to pick up my paycheck and stopped into Shoe Carnival on the way home. They had lots of things on clearance, and there were additional sales. One of those was labeled "Pink Tag Ladies Non-Athletic Sale". If you bought any pair of shoes with a pink tag, you got any second pair of equal or lesser value free. I picked up a pair of black Tommy Hilfiger booties for work, and got a pair of Victoria Spenser pumps in white and blue for free. The pumps look sort of spectator-ish, so hopefully I can save them for a special occasion or outfit.

GAP this morning

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Hello all: Several weeks ago I ordered two "button front" skirts from GAP-- i never do this electronically-- I always speak to someone on the toll free phone number. They were light brown and light blue-- size 18-- fit perfectly. With something that works that well, I like to get a back-up. GAP is offering 30% off some new items this weekend-- those skirts were included -- BUT there were no more blue ones in size 18; there was ONE in light brown. Bought it. HOPE that another light blue one will turn up.

GAP and OLD NAVY will occasionally have some "sale" items at incredibly low prices.

Their telephone order people are generally courteous and friendly.

In our building there is a "good will" room where residents leave items for others to pick up. While helping the woman who manages that room sort through stuff last night, I found a nice pair of buckle boots!!

Peace-- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader").

I bought my first pair of thigh highs. They feel and look good to me and I plan on buying some different colors.

Both GAP and Old Navy are not expected to survive the year and are already considering seeking bankruptcy protection or liquidating their assets (as is Lane Bryant). If you see something you like from their stores, you might want to buy it now while you still can. :?

OLD NAVY?!!

OMG! I love that store! Please say it isn't so.

*sigh* I just looked it up, i guess ON isn't doing so hot these days. That figures, I find a store I like...they close. ](*,)

Well, on the brighter side, I found a nice little (very short!) leather skirt to replace the cheap one I ripped last time I went clubbing. I was just browsing thru Goodwill, it jumped out at me. Okay, it didn't really jump, but my eye caught it as I was headed for the door.

Hugs,
K

Sunday before going to Home Depot and Menards I stopped at a Goodwill store and found a lovely vintage half slip. Like I really need another slip. But it was so nice I could not pass it up with the lovely vintage lace around the bottom and for $1.25. It actually worked out well as it was cold and windy out so I added it under my skirt with my other slip and culotte slip. Made the trips between the car and stores warmer. Maybe I should have been wearing my petti-pants.

shopping

Today I visited La Senza and bought two very sexy bras as well as a mess of panties. I then hit Sears for Jockey panties. I finished in the jewelers where I bought earrings and necklaces.

Stopped in the local Goodwill store and got a pair of Levi's 525 Nouveau Low bootcut jeans (no longer being made), a vintage pair of Sears lace panties new, still in the package, also a nightgown, new with tags, from Elder Beerman. Total cost, $8.00.
