I had a huge shopping day today. I got a $100 prepaid visa from my mother for my birthday. I went to Walmart and Target today. Target I bought a pair of leggings in camo and a Skirt from the Go designer for Aug. Libertine. It is a cute pleated khaki skirt with skulls printed on the bottom. Walmart I bought 3 new shirts that were on clearance. I also bought a new Tinkerbell thermal pajama top and a NFL for her Raiders shirt. I had to buy the pants that go with the pj shirt online as they did not have any in the store.

Not CD news, but I just returned from a 10 day sojourn in Boston and New York City. Bought a t-shirt in the lobby of the Spamalot show. It says: "I'm not deaed yet."
I plan to wear it to committee meetings and similar time-wasting events.
Good to be back.
Hugs,
Lydia

I think that I mentioned about finding a pair of Lee womens stretch jeans in size 10. NWL for $9.99!
They fit really nice.
Well today I recieved my first real pair of padded panties. WOW! I thought the jeans looked good before but now I'm in my glory! I wore them all afternoon with a pair of black pumps, a white high collar lite sweater with a denim jacket and, Damn, I looked good! My wife was amazed at how much more feminine the panties made me look with hips and a butt.
I tried a skirt just to see the difference and it does hang so much nicer with the right "curves". I love it!

I stopped by the GW boutique yesterday and bought 6 skirts. One will get torn into a ragged mess for next years Halloween costume. Two others are for me around the house. I kept 3 separate and after consulting with my eldest daughter each woman in the family will get one for Xmass. Since they are from Goodwill (and I will let them know this) if they don't like them it's okay, they just become a donation. But my adviser tells me I picked well.
The whole family likes to shop at Goodwill now, especially for Xmass. I read somewhere that when you give clothing as a gift you are always at some level making a demand-be the person who will want to wear this. Especially with teenage daughters this is fraught with peril. Hence the aknowledged inexpensiveness of the gift removes the pressure. However I have learned not to pick these things out unaided or to at least check on my purchase with another family member before giving it.

Went to Target the other day with my roommate (GG) to break a hundred as it was all I had and we were going to buy Arby's for dinner and fast food places do not normally take anything larger then a $20. We went to the dollar section to see if there was any worth buying to break the $100 bill. We found a box of candy for her son for valentines day. It was a dollar and I would never do that to a checker so we went to womans as they have new swimsuits in. We were looking around and we found a nice black and white flowered swimsuit which is odd that I liked a flower print but it was really nice. We went to try it on after looking at some T-shirts in mens. I needed new shirts. I went up to the fitting room counter and told the lady I had one item and she looked at it and asked if it was for me and I told her yes. She then handed me the number and she said jokingly that I would have to model it. I showed my roommate but not the ladies at the counter. It looked very nice on and so I bought it and the candies. The lady at the counter for the fitting room made comment that I did not show her. Not a bad experience.

Not today, but a few days back I bought a pair of knee length high-heeled boots at Wal-Mart. Had been eyeing them for several weeks, but didn't have the cash or they didn't have my size. After Christmas I had the cash and they had the size. Couldn't wait to try them on, so I put them on in the parking lot and drove home. Thought they looked nice even though my jeans covered up the side buckles.

Last night I bought a new Dress from Torrid for this years Ren Symposium. I posted pics last year of the dress I borrowed from my (GG) friend. This year I decided to buy my own. The theme is Big Band so I had to find a dress that looked like a modern version of a dress from the mid 30's to early 40's. JC Penny had one on their website that I loved but they did not have it in the store. I went down the mall an went in to Torrid. The dress I bought was a nice halter style dress that is black with a jeweled piece near the waist. I then went down to Fredericks of Hollywood and bought a corset.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, My wife and I went to 3 thrift shops and I got spent $25 for a total of 6 dresses and a half slip.
I'm wearing one of the dresses and describe it in the "What Are You Wearing Today" thread.
The others: a black formal dress with some silver decoration, a black sweater dress with harvest appliqués (including prominently placed pumpkins), 2 lighter weight skirt suits (one pastel watercolor abstract, the other plaid), and a lace trimmed sleeveless floral dress.
The half slip (at least that's what I call it) is black, very short, and has 3 ruffles - should be cute for lingerie pics.

What a great day yesterday. I actually went out dressed in womans clothes for the first time. I went to a mall dressed in womans clothes. pantyhose, bra with breastforms 40B, womans jeans padded panties womans turtle neck and feminine loafers. I went with my gf and went to the Woodbridge mall in NJ and went to "Ultimate Fashions". Laura (owner)was so great. She was happy to see me and set me up in the dressing room while she and my gf kept giving me outfits to wear and decide what to buy. I must have tried on about 10 outfits. I bought my first formal dress along with other on sale items. No one even paid attention to me as I walked through the mall. We stopped in a diner for lunch on the way home; more fun.

Janet.......Congrads and now you know the secret. Your discription of how you were dressed, showed that you were dressed to blend in. Blending in IMHO is the best way to go out dressed. No one will take notice of you because you look just like everyone else around them. Sound like you have a great GF too.

I don't buy that much so I've been in a veritable shopping frenzy. I started 3 weeks ago with this wonderful bra from Avenue (40% off sale), I mean perfect fit and no poking. I've been wearing it constantly and knew I'd wear it out if I did, so I was looking for another. Last week, all bras $19.99, so #2. That Friday the long Vanity Fair nightgown I'd found on the internet arrived, the same day I bought three blouses off the clearance rack at Lane Bryant. I think I forgot the chinos I bought at Avenue and a flowing tunic from another of their stores.
I've been dressed 24/7 this week, from the time I put on my bra and panties in the morning to when I exchanged them for my nightgown, usually topped by jeans and a long-sleeved T, which shows the projection of the bra (44B) nicely. I need to find a unisex coat yet, but discounts haven't gotten down quite far enough.
Today I bought 3 more of the bra I so liked ($10 each with store discount and e-mailed coupon). With the whole industry seemingly converting to foam molded cups, which look glorious on a GG but I can never seem to quite fill I decided it was prudent to stock up. It's pretty too.
My only male attire lately is shoes. I'm just too wobbly, even in the relatively narrow soles of flats, so I'm sticking with my trusty Dr. Scholes 11W.
Life is good.

Within the last couple of days I got all but one thing I ordered from Blair closeout catalog.
I restocked the gift closet for my wife with some things she marked from the catalog. After I give them to her she will get to wear them first before I get to borrow them:
faux pearl watch and bracelet set (for Valentines day);
pink heather short sleeve polo top (gave it to her today);
2 short sleeve pullover knit tops, navy butterfly print and solid turquoise;
light blue pants;
tea rose embroidered fleece pants set;
(still to come) turquoise long butterfly print skirt.
For me to wear first before my wife gets to borrow them:
Aqua jacket dress;
Pink tweed skirt suit;
Pine green 1 piece border print dress;
Short slightly tight black skirt;
2 wide strap camisoles with built in shelf bras, one pink, one white.
3 of the items were $12, and all the others cost in the single digits - a good sale.
