I know I'm not a CD but are GG's allowed to post their purchases here too? I love showing off my new stuff!

Here is a dress Honor bought me for my birthday. It is loads better on than how it looks in the pic. I tried it on with black skinny jeans and high heel boots..it looked really funky 8) It's quite short but if I get enough colour on my legs later on in the year, or fake it, I might be brave and go bare legged with it, with strappy heels  (Dress is a more dusky, antique colour than iit looks in pic)

Love,
Curly

Half are cotton the other half are satin. The Pink Satin pair with the white flowers are so cute, that I decided to go back and see if they have some others similar to it.

I never thought the day would come since I love skirts so much but last Saturday I bought a pair of trousers – Marks and Spencers formal evening trousers, Lilac with a flat front with a silver bow detail on the front, and a matching cream top with a scarf collar. The collar scarf has a paisley pattern coloured to match the trousers. I had seen this outfit in the shop before but didn’t have a chance to buy it and have been on about it for a couple of weeks we only saw it when my wife saw the skirt that goes with the outfit. Couldn’t wait to get home and try it on. When I did it felt lovely, the way the lightness of the material in the trousers just seemed to float. Apart from saying how nice the outfit looked my wonderful wife showed me how to ‘sit’ nicely in trousers by lifting them slightly as I sat down and then commented on my VPL!!

Yesterday at Salvation Army I got 2 dresses.

One is short with red and black vertical stripes and small white dots. It has a 3 button closure on the left shoulder.

The other is dressy navy blue, below the knee length skirt, crinkle top with lace hem, gold and pearl studs on the shoulders - just the thing for a wedding guest or other special occasion - it still had the store tags attached.

Both cost just over US $5.50.

Last Monday I screwed myself up and went to Wigs Unlimited. I was so nervous. I went in to buy a cheep wig, but ended up buying a Requel Welch wig that was on sale. I really like it. When not dressed, I don't just look like a hippy.

Buying t-shirts and a bag at HORRORFIND WEEKEND!!

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Hello all: This was definitely NOT your usual shopping trip, but Saturday I attended the HORRORFIND convention, which was held in College Park, Maryland.
My main motivation was to meet PJ SOLES, one of the celebrity guests, who starred as RIFF RANDELL in the immortal film "ROCK'N'ROLL HIGH SCHOOL." I did meet her and was not disappointed. Talked with her a bit, and she definitely "still has it." (her presence at a horror film event?-- PJ SOLES also starred in HALLOWEEN and CARRIE).
Want to hang out with her some more!! (but she does have a partner and two kids...)
The main theme of this year's convention was the 40th anniversary of the original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, so among the guests were GEORGE A ROMERO and actors from all of his "Living Dead" films.
After hanging out in the signing rooms, I went to the "dealers' room" and bought: a "KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE" t shirt and a really cute black shoulder bag, kind of punky-elegant-- it has decorative zippers, chains, and large silver round things that like hoop earrings. It hangs at exactly the right spot-- a perfect fit !! (and went very well with the maroon and gold cheer outfit ("Sunnydale High School" colors-- BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) I was wearing!!
Well, that's the story of my latest shopping trip... kinda different...
Peace'n'luv-- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader")

Went to Target today to buy exercise outfits. I found a few I liked and wondered around a bit to see if there was anything else the clothes area. I then went to try it on and the person at the fitting room counter was someone that must have worked in the Dock area because he had no customer service skills. I said I wanted to try them on and he looked at me like I was speaking Martian. So I repeated myself and he then asked how many I told him items I had. I ended up buying 2 Skorts in Med (down a size from what I was expecting.) I also bought 3 shirts (2 tank tops and a sleeveless shirt.) I am working on losing my gut.

My wife surprised me yesterday and bought me a pair of soft flip-flop style slippers, in pink. She bought a light blue pair for her.

Well, it's about time you gave your car a bath . . . but I thought this thread was all about buying clothes, shoes, accessories, and the like?!? Who's in charge of sending out the topic-change memos, and why didn't I get one? :-k :P
