In this thread I reviewed the VS Miraculous Bra that creates a bust without forms. This week I got a JCPenney Ambrielle Ultimate Upsize bra that reviewers say is better and the price is much less at $32 reg, $16 on sale and I found a 20% off that coupon.
Again the largest band size is 38 even though the VS associate measured me at 39. JCP does offer 38B when VS starts at 38C. So I got the 38B in white.
EDIT: I adjusted the straps wrong (they are opposite what you might expect)
Fits well and not as big as the VS bra.
Time will tell - the "double size" bras without forms (at least the VS) tend to creep up as we have little to no natural breast tissue to keep it in place. Mayve JCP will work better?

It's rare I try on lingerie in a store, I just make sure I know and understand the return policy. It's not that the salesladies won't let me, but it's a nuisance process to worry about my hair, peeling off clothes, etc.
With respect to salesmen or ladies, I am comfortable with both, besides, since I'm in a store drab or drag, eventually, the salesperson will get to meet both of me. Never had a queer look from the men and as others have said, I get good service either way.
Now about this feeling guilty about trying things on and having the folks busy helping..... Hey -- sometimes we are the only way their day passes with some fun. Most times the folks are salaried so they are paid to help or not. If they are commissioned, well they may not make a sale that one time, but if you liked them, they will make some money of you later.
