Yes Women are so beautiful and lucky! We can be too, even as we age gracefully. I don't know that I try to look like anyone but how I might look if I were a woman, and I do look a bit like my older sister - I see the relationship and am gratified that I am able to achieve that (how I would look as a woman).

I agree with Jeniffer M, I try to be the Woman inside. However, I do remember a craving for wanting to be Brooke Shields when I was in my twenties.

I try to look like the woman that is inside me. No sense trying to look like anyone else.

Re: who do you try and look like?
I love the idea of the woman inside. It is, somehow, so poetic. I don't really care if I'm just an effeminate man: the fact that I'm channeling, or imitating or honoring the women in my life, who have formed my idea of "Woman", is enough to validate my cross dressing. Women are God's gift to the universe: why wouldn't anyone want to be like them?
I am a vessel of the Goddess. Let me express my calling to a feminine life through nurturing love and relatedness.

I don't know that I try to look like anyone imparticular I just try to dress age and situation appropriate.
I do try to copy the more stylish ladies that I see when I'm out.

This may sound strange to some, perhaps even a bit morbid however the woman I most try to look like and emulate is my late wife. She was always a lady, dressed fashionably for her age and always looked sharp. I have even recently begun to use some of her clothes. This evening I a in a pair of her old capris and a tee shirt, just relaxing.

I don't know that it's that strange. It could just be part of your way of getting over the loss, kind of making her part of your life in a different way.

it may or may not be strange, who cares? but I think it's heartwarming to know that you still care about your wife to the extent that you wear her clothes and wish to emulate her. it is the highest form of praise, to try to be like someone, and I think she would be honored.

Gotta go with the "I try to look like me" sentiments.
Basically, I work with what I've got. It never works in your favor when you try and overwhelm your features into being anything it's not anyway. That's when you really end up looking like a "transvestite".

Re: who do you try and look like?
Lots of good advice here.
As for me, I tend to end up looking like Aunt B from the Andy Griffith Show, but two large parts of that are my age and weight.
As others have said, "age and situation appropriate" mixed with "I gotta be me".
Hugs,
Bernice

I agree with your friend. I haven't looked at the comparison photos, but looking at your avatar I can see it.Kyra wrote:I've never tried to look like anyone other than myself. It's challenging enough to just be me.
I've a friend who once told me I looked like Jamie Lee Curtis. I told her she needed a new pair of eyeglasses. She was serious and actually sent me a couple of photos to validate her point. I uploaded them to the gallery. I have my doubts, but then I'm very critical about my appearance.
Hugs,
Kyra
As for who I want too look like? I try to blend in with women around me so sometimes it is jeans and a sweater, more everyday fashion. But my style is becoming more inspired by my interest in goth/vampire culture. I just got a pair of boots almost identical to what Kate Beckinsale wore in Underworld and a new black wig.

Heehee. Who wouldn't hon?
Me? I'd settle for looking like a girl. No-one in particular, just a realistic girl. Alas I gotta make do with what I got, hide under my Peggy Bundy wig
