I'm taking a break break at work to write this, so I'm not dressed enfemme, but i always wear panties, a 6 or 8 strap garter belt or obg, stockings, sometimes a bra, depending on the shirt or a silky camisole. My toes are always painted, right now with a pretty pink with an orangey hint.
I have recently started corseting which is heavenly and have a growing collection of vintage and vintage style undergarments including a some 100+ pairs of full fashioned and rht stockings. I love the look and styles of the 40's. Does anyone else share these thoughts. I'd love to hear from anyone who is or is considering corseting, wants to share ideas about how to deals with the boys or ???

Hi all,
Tonight I'm finally dressed en femme for the first time in a while. I had a Dr appointment - routine physical and everything was OK, just no food for previous 12 hrs. My wife had a medical appt at the same time and after we met back home, we went out for lunch and a little shopping.
Tonight, I'm wearing a thrift store find - a silky 2 piece Blair purple paisley skirt set. The top is long sleeved and has bright buttons that each have a faceted blue stone. My shoes are navy blue pumps with 2 inch heels, light beige support stockings (RHT), clip earrings with light blue stones, silver and gold neck chain, silver initial bracelet, bleached blonde wig.
Underneath - all in white tonight - polyester/cotton eyelet full slip (new from Blair closeout website), longline posture bra, 6 garter OBG, boned waist cincher, satin panties.
What are you wearing?

I'm refreshing the thread, partially because of what Tara posted.
Tonight I'n in drab - got out from work, picked up my wife, then dinner and some shopping - Kmart had a buy one, get one 50% off sale on shapewear and I was able to get 2 more Jacqueline Smith boned waist cinchers - I got my first 2 a year ago December and wear at least one of them almost every time I dress femme. I find them very versitile:
wear it high to turn any bra into a longline;
use it to bridge the bra/girdle gap (helps keep longline bra from riding up and open bottom girdle from rolling down);
in place of a girdle, helps prevent pantyhose panty from rolling down.
With the sale, the first is $15 and the 2nd is $7.50, not too bad for a foundation staple for me. I now have 2 white, 2 black the only colors available. If they were smart, Kmart would offer them in beige so I'd probably get some in that color.
I will try to be more appropriately dressed next time.

Tonight, I'm not in male mode. I'm wearing one of my thrift store finds that I did post before - a yellow silk formal dress (the label says silk with rayon lining) in a style that I consider "mother of the bride". The neckline is very high, there are rather large shoulder pads, the roomy long sleeves have a buttoned cuff, the rather tight skirt (no petticoat under this dress) is just below knee length, has a rear slit (so i can walk up the stairs carefully to the computer room) and there is a vertical ruffle on the left side from the waist down. Putting it on by myself takes a little trying getting the back zipper closed but that's part of the adventure ( I pull it up a bit, get the zipper most of the way up, then pull it down, adjust shoulder pads, insert my rice in knee highs homemade breastforms, then zip it the rest of the way).
I'm completing my outfit tonight with Hanes stockings in little color, gold punps, gold purse, 4 fake pearl necklaces each a different length, freshwater pearl bracelet, goldtone watch and bracelet, dangly fake pearl ball clip earrings, bleached blonde wig.

Tonight I'm in my maid outfit, dark navy Jessica Howard dress with a tiny white print, a litte white lace from my petticoat peeking out from the hem, a white lace apron with embroidered pink flowers, brand new National off-black support stockings with reinforced heel & toe, navy pumps with 2 inch heels, pale pink beads, silvertone clip earrings with pale blue stones, a couple of enamel bangle bracelets, and topping it off, my brand new blonde curly wig from Paula Young.
Underneath, beige lace trimmed full slip, white longline posture bra, white open bottom 6 garter girdle, white boned waist cincher helping to keep things in place, and purple satin panties.
Earlier this evening, as the maid I went down cellar, gathered the laundry from the drying racks, brought it upstairs, folded and put it away. I admit, I don't help as often with the laundry in male mode, but in male mode I don't hear the clicking of my heels on the concrete cellar floor. Also my loving, supporting wife appreciates a little help from me, no matter how I'm dressed.

My maid outfit doesn't compare to the picture of yours.
Your dreamy lace trimmed green maid outfit is my favorite of your avatars so far. Did you have to switch because you had to send it to the cleaner after you wore it while you cleaned up some of the posts here?
Tonight, I'm a little disappointed - I wanted to be the red satin poufbunny princess but couldn't get the zipper to cooperate on my bridesmaid dress. My wife went out and so far I haven't been able to zip it up without her help. The large safety pin tied to a long sneaker lace didn't work. So instead I'm wearing a white brocade formal dress that could have been worn by an afternoon bride - high neck, slightly puffed elbow length sleeves, nice full pleated skirt about mid-calf (is this also called tea length?) pouffed out nicely by my TWO petticoats with a lacy black half slip liner underneath. My shoes are my white pumps, but I know my hosiery is wrong - they're not white, but black Hanes Silk Reflections sandalfoot stockings. I didn't feel like unlacing my corset to be able to undo/redo the rear garters. Oh, well they would have gone fine with the red satin and lace dress and my gold pumps.
My jewelry is sparse and simple real pearl necklace and bracelet, clipon fake pearl drop earrings. I'm carrying my handkerchief etc in a white clutch purse.
My crowning glory is my new wig I'm wearing for the first time - a Paula Young Brussels style in strawbwrry blonde with pale blonde tips.
Underneath, I kept on the red satin strapless satin bustier, and went all out experimenting for the first time in a while with my cheap front lacing corset. It just doesn't seem to fit right unless I pad out my naturally skinny hips and rear. Cheap Jadeanne found the best combination yet of foam rubber held between 2 layers of panties. The lines still didn't look quite right, but a panty girdle took care of that (when I pad out hips/rear it doesn't roll down for a change). I feel beautiful and am sitting up straight

I think your maid outfit would be perfect for you to wear while you are cleaning up post s and doing other needed housework on the forum. This website is great because of the attention and work put in by you, Lefty, Shannon, and Sharon(SO). When a "cleanup in aisle 5" is needed, one of you is there quickly with your virtual mop and bucket.
It looks like your maid outfit was designed to be one from the beginning. My "maid" dress was my late mother's and my wife didn't really like it for herself - no pockets (she HATES a purse - the inspiration for another thread I started and you wisely moved) and waistline too high. The fabric is not really silky, unlike a real fantasy type maid's dress. I can fit into it and on me the hemline is a couple of inches above my knees (I know, lower than a fantasy maid dress, but it works well with my white petticoat. My wife got me the lace apron at a rummage sale. I don't have a lace cap.
Once in a while I have a red nylon nightgown that I also use as a maid dress - that has a really short hem so the white petticoat has to be almost up to very bottom of my bra cups.
My wife has a nice sewing machine and we have a couple of patterns for a maid's costume, so who knows? If she makes me one, I want a unique color - maybe even an animal print

Tonight, I'm wearing another thrift store find, a beautiful soft silky red paisley 2 piece Alfred Dunner skirt set, with a long sleeved top and an almost tea length pleated skirt. My stockings are mist colored support stockings (besides inheriting my late mother's clothes, I also inherited her varicose veins, so I do have a legitimate reason to wear them). My shoes are wine halo suede pumps, goldtone dangly clip earrings, 2 goldtone necklaces, a couple of enamel bracelets, and my new culy blonde wig.
Underneath, I'm in all black - lacy trapeze full slip, longline posture bra, open bottom girdle, boned waist cincher, nylon panties.

Over that a corset from Vollers ( if you havn't tried a corset yet I would love to talk... creates an amazing feminine shape and are very comfy ) and half slip. I wear 'B' cup self adhesive breast forms from Thebreastformstore with a lacy Olga bra, also in cream. My skirt is a navy pleated 50's style with a camel light short sleeved sweater. My make up is browns and purples with a slightly frosty lavender lipstick. I have my toes painted with a pink polish that has and orangey overtone that looks nice with the strappy silver/grey 3" heel sandals. Nice dangly earrings and bracelets in silver to finish.
