UPDATE: tonight's show was a success!

Even though a lot of my friends were no-shows

(including a now-former-dreamgirl) the few of my peeps who did show up came to show their support...

and I KILLED!!! People were in stitches!

Who knew that pulling off my wig during one segment of my act would draw so much laughter!

(Hair malfunction...)

I'm just doing standup for fun; I don't really evision myself fully pursuing a career... but hey who knows? Jeff Foxworthy said the same thing before he made it big...

It is nice though to have been inspired by the greats... Milton Berle, Flip Wilson aka "Geraldine", Eddie Izzard...

Even more good news!

Not only am I performing again next month, but I also landed another comedy gig at another bar on another night!

Standup comedy gigs at bars don't pay huge amounts of money, but this is not a terrible way to supplement the unemploment checks in the meantime!
