Permanent Ban - - Fiction-Fantasy Writer(s)

Dear forum members -

Please note that we have had to permanently ban several of our members, and delete all their topics and posts, because they created multiple accounts with life stories that were just "dream-come-true" or "too good to be true" . . . in other words, it was all pure fiction, and a con was pulled on everyone. As the saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is."

The names used were Debra Renee, AlexisB (GG), and HaileyJ (one person, three accounts) as well as Angelica V. and DanielleB (one person, two accounts).

I am 99.99% positive that this was actually just one person with five accounts as not only did 'they' all share a unique writing and grammar style but all of these accounts and posts originated in Muskegon, Michigan using the same IP address (which are not 'shared' by other users with that ISP) . . . that in itself is sad because Muskegon is a great town.


The deletion of these 'accounts' will cause some of our members to lose post counts. A regrettable action to be sure, but we hope to provide real stories, not fictitious ones.


We will be taking additional steps with all current and future registrations to ensure that this does not happen again.

Hi, Everyone -

I have added SydneyB to the list of fiction/fantasy writers who have been permanently banned from the forum, and she shares all the similarities and attributes of those 'five' members mentioned above, including her location of Muskegon, Michigan.


'She' may change her name, and her email address, and possibly even her internet provider . . . but her writing style and grammar are so unique and ingrained that she won't be able to change them, at least not easily. And if 'she' does, she'll eventually slip up and go back to her normal style - no one can maintain a fraud for long periods of time.

And for the record, any of those banned members who think they can threaten me/us with lawyers or law suits alleging discrimination or any other trumped-up allegations? Think again, and while you're at it read the Registration page . . . we have the right to ban anyone, for any reason, and without notice.
