Hi Girls:

Nov 7 report on Mayor of Silverton, Oregon, being TG.

Perhaps the first TG mayor in the USA. Stu Rasmussen reportedly has said that (HE) likes dressing as a female fulltime but is hetrosexual and has a girl friend. Okay...let's hear it for Stu!!!

WOW!!! What an inspiration to everyone!! I hope Stu (his story) makes national news with the same quality of message that the local TV station had. Amazing! Maybe as Obama said, we are in for a "change"!

Thanks, Danielle.

Here's an interview with Stu from several years ago:

He identifies as a heterosexual man who likes to look like a woman.

What's the world coming too? :P

I do like this guy's attitude toward what he does. I wouldn't be happy with male pronouns and my male name when I'm presenting as a woman. But he is, and I think that many people are more comfortable with that version of crossdressing. If they can continue to say "he," and he's still the same Stu that they are familar with, it goes a long way. He probably doesn't worry about coming up with a female voice, either. In my opinion, the breast augmentation is unusual for someone in his position, but hey, it's working for him. Great story, and it does give me some hope.

IIRC, we've had a couple of CDs on this forum have breast augmentation.

Yes, and in at least one of those threads, we cautioned the poster about it; he only dressed some of the time, and he was going to be a man with prominent breasts all of the time.

I guess I'm just sorting through Stu's particular mix of crossdressing preferences, and thinking that generally the people I've known who got breast augmentation had a stronger "I am a woman" type of identification. It's a big step. Stu does dress fulltime, though, which is another thing that makes breast augmentation more feasible. So I shouldn't be quite so surprised.

As I mentioned in another thread on this topic, Stu may be the first TG mayor, but he had a predecessor of sorts more than 300 years ago. The Royal Governor of New York, back around 1700, Edward Hyde, used to enjoy dressing up as his cousin (Queen Anne) and stoll along the ramparts of the battery (from which comes the name Battery Park), complete with parasol. It apparently was common knowledge.

Of course, his conduct was excused because of his connection to the Royal Family.
I'm not that kind of girl.

If I don't lay off the taquitos, augmentation will be well beside the point!
Not likely to be elected, tho, with or without the scalpel.
Don't you lock up something that you wanted to see fly!
