Moving Day and New Temporary Site Admin

Post by SilverLady(SO) »

Hi, everyone!

Well, that time is here, and Virginia and I are finally moving into our house on the mountain! We'll be surrounded by a sea of boxes for a while, but that's okay. The house is only 15 miles from our old apartment, so it's not a long-distance move, but what a huge difference in the scenery, not to mention the lack of noisy neighbors!!

While I'm busy with the move and trying to set up new internet, phone, and television service at the same time, CJ has accepted the position of Temporary Site Administrator. CJ will have the full authority of Site Admin in my absence, and I know she'll do a great job. No, Jeannie, that does *not* mean that you can start having a party!

New member applications are going to wait until I return, so if you know someone who has requested access to the forum but has yet to be approved, now you know why!

We'll be back as quickly as possible!

Love ya all!

Having moved a few times since joining the forum. Good luck with the move and glad you are moving in to a quieter place.

SL and Virginia,

Oh do enjoy your new home and this is the last move the wife and I will make except for the one 6 feet down :P

Look we live out in the country and no neighbors to worry about and Carol can be Carol. So your not moving far just a pain in the you know where to pack and unpack. Believe it or not after 5 years we still have a couple of boxes we haven't unpack from New Orleans.

A change of scenery is a good thing, I know you both will enjoy your new home. OK Virginia time to cut the grass and clear the weeds out lets get busy girl.

Oh a passing though, those litter red bugs are called chiggers and those little black ones are called ticks \:D/

I hope the move goes well and I am sure you will enjoy your new place. I have had enough moving for awhile as we moved 4 times last summer.

Hi SL--
I know you're looking forward to being in your own place. I hope the move goes well. The forum will be in good hands with CJ at the helm, so you don't have to think about that. See ya when you get back!

Hey CJ. What time does the party start?

Post by Jeannie »

Hi you two.
Wish you two the best in your new home. Will it featured on MTV cribs? After that party last saturday night Silver lady I'm suffering from PTSS. I saw things no human should ever see Virginia and that was before the two strippers / hookers showed up!
After witnessing things that would make Caligula blush I took out a smoke and they all looked at me like I had two heads and said"Jeannie. No smoking." Excuse me? No smoking? Second hand smoke was the least of their worries Silver lady.
I must give kudos to the birthday boy,Dave. Call me old fashioned Virginia but I don't think it's a good idea to enjoy a nice warm muffin offered to you by a hooker. You go Dave! She was even more surprised than me. However it was a nice change of pace for her. Hugs.

Love
Auntie Jeannie
PS When I was leaving Jeffrey,a Jewish lawyer walked me to the door. He had on the same oufit that Tim Curry wore in The Rocky Horror Picture show. He must of been in a hurry when he dressed for the party Virginia. He made a fashion Faux Paux. You should always wear a pair of panties with thigh highs and garters belts. By the look of things Silver Lady,I think he really liked me but i'm not sure. I said"Sorry Jeffrey. I only shake hands on the first date. I'll take a raincheck Hon."
And people call me crazy! I don't think so ladies.

I once thought about building a house out of a big box, that way if I moved again I could just ship the house.

Good luck on the move

Hi, all -

Thank you for all the well-wishes, they're greatly appreciated!!

Well, we're safely moved and with no problems . . . whew! We'll have a sea of boxes for a while, but they're slowing being dismantled in between our jobs, putting in new floors and windows, and catching up on some sleep. We still are not hooked up with phone, tv, or internet (ugh), but we're working on it. Right now I'm borrowing a friend's pc and getting my internet "fix". Yep, the internet will have to get hooked up asap before I go stir crazy! :P

Jeannie, glad to know that you haven't had a wild party in my absence . . . either you're getting slower and wiser in your old age, or maybe it's due to CJ being at the helm?!?

CJ, thank you for stepping up to the plate, you don't know how much I appreciate it. =D>

We'll be back online asap, and Virginia says hello, too . . . in between her mowing the lawn, watching out for chiggers and ticks, and rattlers, oh my!!

Got to run, too many proposed new members which need name changes, and they have to be contacted, so I'll be busy for a while.

Neato keen, SL folks next door were building a mountain thought it might be you. Turned out it was mashed potatoes and then the ship landed. Wait wait..sorry that was last night's dream, but maybe could write a story about it. Arghhhh...too much Jeannie juice. But glad you're settling in...sounds like a great place  But now, back to chapter two, in which I get
