I just wanted to say Hello to all here and hope you are doing well. Somehow I am the first member of this forum even though I haven't been on this site in forever....

I hope this site, the forum and the people here provide us all with a positive and helpful experience. That is the reason we started it......

I want to let all the old time friends I made here that I always think about you and hope life is treating you well. I also want to thank you VERY much for your help with the site. You are ture friends and I hope this message finds you well.

Hey Shannon,

Great to see you drop by. I am sure you know how I feel about you and this place. I wouldn't be here today if it were not for you starting this site with Sharon. I feel like this place truly saved my life. I will always have a special affection for so many of the people here, I dare not try to enumerate them. But needless to say, you are one of them. Thanks for everything.

We don't see you a whole lot, so I hope you are getting the support you need.

I've only been coming here a short time by some comparison.
At 63, married 42 yrs, still in the closet, reading about the lives and events of others, and on rare occasion throwing my 2 cents in. I've gained much more to my life. There is always hope.

So! Yes this board is a great help, thank you for getting it started.

SL and the other administrators have done a great job of keeping it very much an informative and pleasant site.

The forum is definitely valuable to me.

It has helped my self acceptance and now I am active in a local support group. A couple of members of the group have joined here.

I haven't posted a lot here lately, but do visit pretty much daily.

Yes, Shannon, it is. Check out the thread on the fifth anniversary to see testimonials to that effect, from many of us. It's been a wonderful forum, and continues to be a safe home for me out here in Cyberland.

Valuable? More like essential. I've been reading the mail here for the past 4 (?) years and it has become a basic part of my normal routine. I may not post very often (Laconic Lydia, they call me)., but I sure read a lot. I have learned much from this special group, and hope to continue.

Hi Shannon,

Yes this is a valuable site. Meeting others online helped to set things in motion for meeting them IRL, which meant getting out enfemme, and even managing to get my wife out with me a few times.

Shannon, is this forum of value to me? I had considered the CDDF to be my home, but when it was is the process of shutting down I was reallyl ost. I was directed here by several of the fine ladies that were on both and was made to feel very welcome from the start. This is my home and I am very thankful for it.
