Della I was gonna suggest skeet or trap. They are a lot of fun and you can dress a little differently. There is also Single Action clubs where you wear period clothing. One could go as Belle Starr, Calamity Jane, Annie Oakly or Dale Evans or be your self. If I remember tho, California has some rediculous gun laws. I know golf was mentioned and that is a good option. I personally have not tried while dressed but I would love to give it a whirl. I play golf at times with a woman that is bigger than me and has terrible legs. I've always suspected she isn't a GG. Who cares. At least I can beat her. :)

They play a game in France called boules which is a very sociable gentle game played by all ages and genders in gardens and parks. You could play in your usual femme outfit without having to get any special sports gear. But I would prefer to wear a white pleated tennis skirt with frilly panties to be seen in because there is a lot of bending over envolved.

Well, let's see.

One day I rode a woman's bicycle in hooded sweats and white Keds, and as the day (or I) warmed up, I removed the sweats to expose my white tennis dress, wig, and shaved legs.

I've also indoor-roller-skated in a leotard, pantihose, and mini circle-skirt.

I made three cheerleader skirts, but never wore them outside of the house.

I've also gone for walks very late at night, but nothing very sporty about my blouse, skirt, and walking shoes. Nothing very sporty about me I guess.

Hugs,

Bernice

Della:
First, let me say; Ladies do not sweat, Horses sweat, men perspire, ladies glisten.
Your topic on sporting attire has been very thought provoking. I suppose that I like the idea of canoeing best of all, however,
I do take walks in the twilight hour and a number of times I have worn colots
some of which are cut such that they look just like a skirt. I also wear white walking shoes and of course frilly undies.
I keep my legs and underarms shaved and have pierced ears but just wear studs when going for my androgynous look.
I must take into account that I am alone and away from the protection of home.
Be Well

Is cheerleading a "sport?"

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Hello all: Well-- never been into competitive team sports, but I do attend protests as "hippie cheerleader."
In many circles cheerleading IS viewed as a sport, and I daresay the routines contemporary cheerleaders do are an amazing blend of gymnastics, dance, and lots more. That is a far cry from the simpler cheer routines done when I attended high school in the late 1960's.
But cheerleader outfits really are cute and I'm glad that as someone who is going to turn 58 in October, I can pull off the cheer look as well as I do.
Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend!!
Peace-- Kendra Lynn (aka "hippie cheerleader").

Re Jennifer's comment about canoeing: boating on an unfrequented lake is a wonderful opportunity for getting slightly wild.

Ordinarily my wife and I paddle in our kayaks. I wear a bikini underneath a longish T-shirt. As soon as we're sufficiently far away from shore and other boats (eyeball distance—if anybody's using binoculars that's way too much to worry about), I take off the T-shirt and paddle in my bikini.

Oh girl, does that ever feel nice.

As for other sweaty (glowy) work, I'd probable be able to get away with mowing most of the lawn in femme attire (skimping on a couple of more public parts) ... but I'm not terribly keen on sweat-drenching my bras, not even the sports ones. (Panties I consider more dispensable.)

Jogging, when I still could (before the hip replacement), would have been fun to do with lingerie under my tees and girl shorts. But again, I have this silly prejudice against advancing the demise of any of my pretty clothes.

Clearly I should pick up some girl duds specifically for sweating (scuse me, perspiring) in, next time I'm at the Salvation Army, just like any GG would.

Anyone who says ladies don't sweat has never watched the woman they love give birth.

Ah yes Ab, but as a lady of my acquaintance (when I was a lot younger) playfully informed me, shaking a scolding finger:

"When men sweat, they sweat. When women sweat, they **perspire.**"

A bit of wisdom that's stayed with me, goofy as it is.

Well she perspired like a pig. Not to mention murmuring softly, sort of like an angry grizzly bear.

I think if I could play whatever sports I wanted and pass while doing them (I can't shave my legs so they would clearly give me away and be harsh to look at) they would be
Tennis Love (sorry about this pun) the cute dresses
Volleyball I have played this game and have always been envious of the women's lycra short-shorts
Gymnastics I would be graceful and wow leotards and glitter makeup
Field Hockey- in a skirt!
