I am new to the forum. I found out last week that my husband dresses whemn I am away. We have been married for 5 years and I had no idea. He is very embarrassed by me knowing about this and does not really want to talk about it
or share much about it with me. I of course am hurt and scared but still find myself here to look for how best to support my husband.
Here for my husband

Hi, Tara, and welcome to the Forum! Read through the archives, hon, you'll find that you're not the only SO who feels this way.

Hi, Tara, and wlecome. As SilverLady said there is a lot of information in the archives. If you have a question please feel free to ask.
We are here to support and if we are helping a SO that is great, if we are helping a CD that is great, and if we are helping both that is better than great.
I think most of us were embarrassed to start with and some never get past it. Most of us have hidden it for so long that it is hard to share it with ones we love. We have been hurt by other peoples comments so that we are afraid of what might happen.
I know that you will find ways to help him/her to be able to accept himself and in the process you may find you have a new best friend.
I wish you the best

Hi Tara and welcome,
I want to say how proud I am of you for being open mined, first rule is baby steps. Don't try and make him open up to much at first as he will come to you as now he knows you know.
So much pressure is taken off a CD'er when the SO knows and things can be openly talked about. He may look funny to you in a dress but never laugh, give him a helping hand.
My wife told me a long long time ago I am still the same man she married no matter what cloths I'm wearing.
Best of luck as you start a new part of your marriage

Welcome Tara.
First congratulations on being open-minded enough to "look for answers."
As has been recommended, read as much as your time allows. You will hopefully find that this can be a "gift" to be shared. I would also recommend that you visit the GG's only section and share with the other GG's and you will find a lot of support there as well.
We look forward to your finding solice in your new discovery.

Thank you all for your kind welcome. The past few days have been rough and it means a lot to me to find support here. I have more questions but I am sure the new members forum isn't the place to post them so I'm off to type my heart out in the right forum. Thanks again to everyone who replied to my post.
